Why has most contibutors gone queit here?
If you went progressed to medicals, kindly update us on whats happening. Wallowing in the dark is confusing & stressful for us who haven't received any communication.
Kindly, anybody with any information, share with us.

Medical Certification
Well, rumour has it that medicals are still being done this week...since it takes three days. I was in the first group that went through medicals last Monday.
When all results are in, communication (calls/mails) will be done so that candidates go for their Class 2 medical certificates while being briefed on the whole process ahead...cz there may be more aptitude tests as well as other tests mentioned earlier in this thread.
This medical stage may take a while...but they then advice candidates to process certain documents like passports, yellow fever certificate and certificate of good conduct because they're required in the next interview, once a candidate is through with the medicals.
I hope this infor is helpful...

Medicals Analysis.
I did my medical tests on Thursday and Friday last week and finished with the aviation doctor yesterday.
On Thursday we reported to the KQ clinic on the ground floor of International House. There we were subjected to urine, stool and blood tests in the lab. They're looking for HIV, Hepatitis (not sure which one), and a battery of illegal drugs, so if you think of an illegal drug, they're looking for it in the blood samples. In the rooms upstairs, blood pressure, BMI, joint movement, eyesight, mouth and throat cavity, ear and hearing and ECG tests were conducted.
On Friday morning we reported to the chest specialist at the Doctor's Plaza in Mater Hospital. There we were put through what I can best describe as a lung capacity test. We were told to take in as much air as possible and blow out as hard and for as long as possible into a pipe-like device which was recording your output to a computer. This test was quite taxing to my lungs and I jog once in a while and I'm not a smoker. In the afternoon we reported to the heart specialist on 7th floor 5th Avenue building. There our weights and heights were taken and then 10 probes were connected to various points on our chests. We were then made to walk on a treadmill as the speed and incline was increased every one minute. Running was not allowed on the treadmill, no matter the speed, you were required to keep walking. This one was not hard at all.
On Monday we reported to the aviation doctor. This was the simplest of all tests. They checked for colour blindness, condition of mouth, throat and ear cavity, eyesight and pupil dilation and body balance on one leg while your eyes are closed. The aviation doctor said that they're waiting for KQ lab results and as soon as they're in we'll be informed. She said that a call from her would indicate a problem somewhere in the tests and a call from KQ would mean that all is well.
We've made it past the hardest stages, so things can only get better from here. Let's continue praying for the best ladies and gents. All the best future aviators!

@Nickmory. I would reply to the same address and copy those listed telling them that you've applied for your passport and it's not yet ready and ask them to advise the way forward.

Passport request
@chegeaviator and @nickmory I have also received the same email. This is an encouraging sign although the email doesn't explicitly say we have passed the medicals.

am with you guys, I sent them a mail explaining the situation.
I also have a proposition for all those whose passports aren't ready yet, a few of us are planning to go to the passport offices and show them that there are quite a number of us and we actually need those passports in a hurry. not sure but I think it could help, u know, proof and what not. think on it and inform your friends who are in the same boat as us. Monday ,8 am sharp.
enjoy your weekend guys

without passports?
I propose you see the director of passport on Monday the first thing in the morning with your tracking number and the receipt. She's called Mrs Ndwiga, a very lively, jovial and easy going lady based in 2nd floor unit 14. Carry along the mail copy from kq saying the passports are needed urgently. She'll order the passports to be processed in 30minutes I tell you. She helped me last year when I had a situation like this. Meanwhile thanks @ChegeAviator for your initiative, please communicate their response in time.

Totally out
Hello,
I logged in to the KQ Careers portal and my application status was "Terminate Application".
This is the same as receiving the regret email. So game over for me as Ab Initio goes.
All the best, future aviators.
We'll meet in South Africa soon. In May.
