mark29,
I understand that. Have you done any research to see if any of these three (DL, AA, UAL I assume) will actually accept a candidate with the visa you'd be getting ?
The frantic hiring pace here seems to have slowed from a couple of years ago. This slowing will make competitive requirements tougher.
In any event, best of luck. Let us know how it goes.

Green card holders ? Probably, yes. They're always treated them like US citizens.
Visa holders ? I think the E3 intake has slowed down or maybe largely stopped. Some ACMI carriers have taken E3s but I'm not sure where that stands lately.
Other types of visas, it's hard to say. Spirit hired a bunch of visa holders but the company now has some ominous financial issues and furloughed a bunch of pilots.
Beyond that, I don't hear much about visa holders being hired. Someone will come by here and add their knowledge.

Hello everyone!
Im a low time FO, 26 years old, around 1600 hours of total time, out of which 1200h on the bus, currently flying 757/767. As Ive spent almost 5 years in the US on a scholarship in high school and did my FAA license there as well, I’m looking for ways back to the States as that’s where I want to work and live. I have Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in finance so nothing aviation related. Ive been in touch with few lawyers and, despite having low chances, obviously all of them, except one, told me that i should do it as with right arguments and representations they can do it.
I definitely want to try; however, I’d prefer to do it on my own, especially given the prices lawyer quotes (around 15k usd). Anyone could help in that regard who already went thru that process and was successful? Thanks!

Luck or not
Soon 20 years flying for airlines in Europe, years of training experience. 10000 hours. EASA and FAA ATPL/ATP both with B737 ratings. I sent almost 200 pages of documents, reference letters, very detailed plan for an aviation business I’d want to set up backed up with an American business expert’s support letter etc. with my EB2-NIW petition and I got rejected after an RFE. The officer clearly didn’t want to approve me and eventually rejected my eligibility on something he/she didn’t even ask further evidence for. Seems that a lot depends on who is the officer reviewing your petition.

The Visa Bulletin moved by 2 weeks in the last 8 month, it's not looking too good even for the one who managed to get an approval unfortunately.
If the VB only moves by 2 weeks every 3 month it will take Years for anyone applying now to get a green card.
Who knows what the market will be like in 5 years

would you like to switch with me? I’m FO in a legacy carrier in the US and crazy to move to Europe. Although the salary is way lower, QOL and European lifestyle is my thing. Lol

Are you delusional to leave a US major, unless you have an EASA ATPL and the right to work in Europe there is no point to even apply.
Some people are going on 18month+ wait on the EB2 NIW after getting approved have some sort of respect and read the room.

I started my EB2-NIW in December 2021 . uk biz jet pilot on a rare type , November 2024 asked for a refund from Benincasa law firm in vero beach who had been stalling .18k USD in costs , got 3600 refund. fed up of waiting 3 years for them to prepare a case. Complained to Florida bar , what a load of crap. I didnt even get it submitted to get a no. good luck to all if your trying, its certainly fully of trip wires as far as I can see, I had heard towards the end the lawyer said they had been rejecting applications. So do I get my money back? yeah...nice business to be in another ponzi scheme. As far as i can see, its the STEM trades they want, science, tech, engineering, mathematics. Unless you got a very supportive employer were goosed. Even though there are many pilots ads you see.

Priority Date
I recently received the news my EB-2 application has been approved. Current priority date with USCIS is June 2023, my priority date is April 2024. Anyone who has also been approved, have any indication how long it will take for them to move along 10 months?

You might have better luck checking the Atlas forum on APC. It's pretty active:
