Before accepting

Any idea how long the base transfer wait might be for Belfast as Captain? I'm thinking of applying for LGW DEC, with the intention of eventually transferring to Belfast.

6-12 months max

Could anyone share roughly what a new FO would take home monthly on average in UK?

NG708 14th February 2025 15:52

Any idea when Easyjet will open recruitment again for UK based, A320 rated FOs?
Been very quiet for a while, but everyone else is busy advertising for Airbus rated crew.

assessment outcome

Hi All,

anyone who recently attended the UK DEC assessment in Gatwick? How long did it take to get any feedback from the HR?

Cheers,

pW

Zero chance for Germany, they downsized Berlin hugely a few years ago so there's a long list of German captains waiting to go back if they can

Hi there,

I know this sounds strange or unfair but I am fresh out of Training and I have been given Berlin as Base. Turns out EJU is going to add an aircraft in Berlin.

As an FO it is not that difficult, a lot of upgrades from BER to other bases in the network and people going part time. As a DEC, forget about it.

base bid

Hey everyone,

which bases would you consider the best for a starting SO, in term of salary/living costs ratio? Thanks :))

Italy has by far the best SO contract in the network, by a big margin. If you have a family and kids as a FO/SFO France has an overall better package, but SOs have an awful deal there, with no sector pay and low basic.

Anyone have any idea when Easyjet UK may next open for experienced FO's?

Hi all, new here 😊

I just started my FAA to EASA conversion and plan to finish in 1 to 1.5 years. Does anybody know how things are now and how they will be in 2026? I live in Spain, in Málaga, so my questions are: Will easyJet hire for Málaga? What is the contract like in Spain? Can I choose Málaga as my base? If anyone has any information and can share, I would be very thankful! 😊

Any idea when Easy will reopen DEC recruitment?

FunFlyin 18th June 2025 15:18

They're finalizing numbers for next year. Then they need to see how many commands are applied for internally.
There is still a pool of DEC who have passed the assessment waiting for start dates depending on internal command numbers - so, maybe end of summer 🤷‍♂️

When was the last round of DEC NTR? Any chance of this?

Mppl69 2nd July 2025 14:42

Hi guys,
Anyone has a up-to-date estimation of the Spanish salary ? I heard something around 43k a year plus sector pay but I don't know if it is for full time or 8/4 or 9/3 contracts...
Thanks

In the UK was around 2015, there have been some rumours, but as always best thing I suppose is to keep an eye on the recruitment site.

I spoke with a pilot based in BCN and you can expect an avg of 4k per month, flying around 500 hours per year on a seasonal contract, in fact the problem is that you don’t start with a full time roster right away.

I joined a U.K. base via this method in 2018.
