Thanks, so even as a 2000+ hours FO on Boeing I would have to pay fully up front for the type? Do they offer bonded types? Its more about getting a specific base that I want for me at this point

Do we think or know if Easyjet are getting the numbers applying who are willing to pay the 22k for the Type Rating? If they are struggling to attract the nunbers they need would they reconsider the requirement to self fund the type rating? As has been said compared to other airlines seems less attractive with the self funded TR and also lack of flight/sector pay......

Easyjet is an outlier in charging experienced recruits for the rating, and as the payments come out of net pay - gross it up for a captains 62% marginal rate of tax, and it's equivalent to a pay cut of £57,894!!!
They would be +1 captain, but they would not budge on deducting it from net, so I withdrew from the course. |

People should just do what others are planning to do. Book an assessment and use it as free sim / interview prep for Wizz, Jet2 etc

Hi all, Are the newly posted salaries on PJN for easyJet UK correct?

Your problem is with HMRC unfortunately, not easyJet. Same with the £100K+ flight training, it’s still VATable..!

Hi all.
I am currently 1000hrs F/O (1250hrs TT) on A320 and got invitation for the interview for FAO base. My plan is to get into the company and apply straight away for BSL base for personal reasons. My questions are: 1) Do you know how long could it take to get a base change? Are the queues long? I heard between 0,5-3 years of waiting and that's a big difference. 2) What are the requirements to join EasyJet Switzerland as F/O not to get SO salary? 3) Average hours of flying per year in BSL? Thanks a lot, B. |
PMI as SO
Hey everyone,
maybe there was already an answer, but do you know what are the chances to get PMI as a SO when starting for Easyjet? And What’s the approximate waiting time on transfer list to go there from another base? Also, for those who where inducted, did you had a priority in your wishlist or is it random? FYI I’m currently in the MPL. |

Does anyone know what bases are available for the UK NTR 2025 recruitment. Is there any chance to get somewhere in Scotland, EDI or GLA or is there a large waiting list for these positions?
Thanks |
Hi all,
Does anyone know if foreign pilots in Portugal can benefit from the lower tax program? I’m seeing that taxes there can go up to around 45%, anyone can share his experience about life there with a SO or FO salary? thank you! |
Hello! I passed the online E-Cut back in june, does anyone knows when they’re going to call for the on-site interview?

PMI is quite easy to get, but don’t forget you’ll be on unemployment benefits during 4 months each winter when the base closes.
