Anyone passing the sim in January been offered a course date yet ??

On my assessment day they said for LH around June July and for 320 LHR they said autumn would be the earliest. Euroflier would be sooner. But no I haven't

The minimum UK allowable days, based on a very conservative interpretation of the sufficient ties SRT.

Could someone please be kind enough to share a junior 787 roster either here or via DM? Just trying to build a picture of what's realistic and what's out the question, commuting wise. I only seem to have 777/320 from the assessment day.

Hi PianoPilot, may I ask you which platform did you use to prepare yourself? Thank you for your reply

Use https://pilotassessments.com/ba-spee...ot-assessment/

this will be very helpful for the assessment day.

simulatorprep.com at LGW for sim prep. Really good guys, knowledge, and tips. Good luck!

Thank you a lot for your advices. May I ask you chose the Cadet package instead of the regular one (for experienced pilot)?

Any info on the IAG 737 max order? Are these really going to Gatwick?

I notice you've asked this on the Euroflyer thread too, are you privvy to any information that you're trying to confirm or just speculation? The general consensus has been they're likely to go to Vueling.

The life in the UK

Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me which neighborhood or town is good and safest to live near or relatively close to the heathrow airport area? Are there also good government schools for primary and secondary education in case we move from an international british school system for our children to adapt? You can send PM if you wish, thanks :)

Hounslow is absolutely gorgeous. A real vibrant and dynamic place to live. Fantastic and quick transport links to Heathrow :O just a stunning area all year round! Mind you, best to keep everything in your pockets tied down, your phone in your pocket, and wise to wear a stab proof vest

In case the sarcasm in our learned colleague aboves reply has gone unnoticed... Hounslow is one to avoid. Depending on your budget I would recommend considering Ealing. A lovely part of London and if you can be near enough to Ealing Broadway, a 24 minute hop on the Elizabeth Line train to Heathrow Airport. It is also close enough to be a (for London) comortable enough drive to Heathrow.

Richmond upon Thames was recently voted the best London Borough to live in. Great for all the things you want. There are only two drawbacks. It's frightfully expensive and gets quite a lot of aircraft noise for some reason. Oh, and it's adjacent to Hounslow.

Hi all,

How long does it take for BA to respond to you after initial application for assessment dates etc?

Applied 1 month ago and aside from asking me for my medical etc, iv heard nothing. Is this normal?

Have been offered Emirates but id prefer BA as closer to home and need BA to progress things rather quickly before im suppose to board a plane to Dubai!

many thanks.

If anyone could kindly share to me in PM a 777 roster and a 787 roster as a new FO? Maybe even year 1 total pay per month? Trying to work out if I should jump ship from my current airline... basic salary alone looks like I'm taking a payout, but not sure how the rest factors in... thank you all in advance

Integrated 13th March 2025 00:21

Additionally, perhaps any information on EuroFlyer? Do they do trips where you stay down route?

if you’re a captain at any other UK airline you are taking a pay cut and will be for a minimum of a decade, probably closer to 16 years to reach parity depending on you current year of service pay…

can’t send you a roster but looking at the bottom of the list trip 2 off rince and repeat with occasional 3 days off. Most if not all flights are redeyes coming back

How long does it take to get some sort of lifestyle from the roster? Also would you mind sharing approx monthly take home for the first couple of years?

Thank you. I'm an FO, and would like to get my command soon, so was considering EuroFlyer instead of the 777 mainline advert.

Does anywhere have any information on EF? Do they offer trips where you stay down route (as mainline does)?

Euroflyer is day trips only with a fixed pattern roster.

For DEP long haul expect 8-10 years before you start to see some lifestyle control,

Year 1 salary, expect 5-5.5knet without any overtime, however others new to the company may be able to offer more accurate figures
