Traditional career path was SH f/o, LH f/o, SH Capt, LH Capt. Each change is a pay rise.

Now there are quite a few taking an early SH command. Not many ever go back to the RHS after a command as it’s a pay cut.

Some stay LH f/o until they can be LH Capt. Takes a while.

As a previous poster stated, you go up a pay point each year. When you change job you slide across to that pay point on the new scale.

What is the deal if you are at BA Euroflyer? I know you are locked into EF for 5 years, however if you then crossed to mainline would you slide across onto the mainline 5yr pay point?
