How is the hiring situation for cadets right now? Anyone been to the assessment lately? Last year in May we were about 96 attending and roughly 15 got hired to my understanding. Many aircrafts grounded still or? I rather reapply later if the demand is low.

Are these 96 cadets wizzair cadets or they come from other schools ? dont wizzair cadets coming from their academy get hired quickly ?

Bond Wizzair UK

Hi everyone. Re Bonding A320 at Wizzair UK : the T&C bonding is mentioned as:
Bond amount €20K
Total cost: €35K
Are you only bonded for €20K or €35K. If just €20K, what does 'total cost' actually mean?

Thanks for shedding any light.

enzino 18th August 2024 07:37

20k. And you should get 50% of that amount as a gross loyalty bonus after 36 months in the company.

Good place to cut your teeth but not many people in WUK find it worthwhile staying to 36 months!!

1 day assessment

Hi everyone,

I'm up for selection soon in UK? Does the 1 Day assessment here cover everything the normal 2 day assessment covers? If not, which bits are left out?
Thanks in anticipation.

My one day was just interview and sim. Interview included some questions on current aircraft type and basic aerodynamics. Also a question where they try and rattle you - seeing if you can work for a Communist era authoritarian union-busting outfit. Unfortunately I passed 😂

if it fits your plans, good luck, get some hours, and get out of there 👍

Much appreciated 'C'.

Wizz Air UK - Experienced A320 First Officer Assessment

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well!

I have an assessment with Wizz Air UK next month and wanted to check if anyone has been in the Experience A320 FO category:

1. What was your experience like at the interview?
2. What did you get for the simulator as an experienced FO? and was it an A320 sim or does Wizz use Boeing sims (like other airlines )?

Thank you in advance :O
Good luck all!

Can someone explain the interim tax payment wiz currently pay to some bases following the change of AOC to Hungary?

koenisg 17th September 2024 14:01

Hello guys,

I hope this message find you well,

Do you know what I should do when I am filling my recency flight experience (in the flight experience form) and when they ask the amount of hours they only ask the amount until 2023 and the major amount of my flight time was made in 2024. Do you guys have any idea what should i do?

Thank you in advance

LeftHighandDry 17th September 2024 21:37

Hi chaps,

Anyone have an idea what the deal is joining Wizz UK as an experienced NTR FO? Do you join on the same pay/contract as the cadets with pretty meagre pay? Have an ATPL and 2k hours but flying a turboprop and not sure whether they hire people as direct entry SFOs.

Cheers

pedrothepilot 18th September 2024 21:12

Your hours will be factorized, you need 1500 factorized hours to be an SFO. If you meet the requirements you will join directly as an SFO, if not you will upgrade pretty quickly to SFO as soon as you meet the hours. I think the factor for turbo prop like ATR etc is 0.7 .

Captaindiaz 20th September 2024 17:12

I just started training as a NTR FO and the pay is quite reasonable to be honest. I'm not sure what the cadet pay is. Try contacting pilot recruitment, they are quite responsive.

Tortilla 25th September 2024 07:55

Guys, how long did it take you to complete the practical training?
I have to do simulators plus 20 sectors of training flights as FO TR and I wonder if I start simulators in November, will I be able to finish SIM and training flights within 1 month?

BarryMG 25th September 2024 08:07

1 month? No way, I'd say two is a safe bet. What's the rush anyway?

You'll go beyond 1 month and 20 sectors 100%.
