Do new hire unrated FO's still have to pay for their own type rating or can they be bonded now?

It’s going to take time, but easyJet is expanding their training capability with a dozen of brand new sims plus many more in option, and the idea is to take in house the training also for initials in the future, and as a consequence also charge less the rating for new hires. |

I am in the hold pool for DEC. Just got advised they are looking for Porto DEC only at the moment. I called and was not given ANY information about other bases or position from recruiting. I am looking for a Lisbon position. Does anyone who actually works at EZ have any intel about base staffing or growth? Also, I was not able to get a detailed answer of how transfers to Lisbon work...can anyone comment if you can put in a transfer on day one and if there is a long list of people wanting to transfer? Also, anyone from EZ in Porto who can tell me how likely it is to get 5 on/4 off or how it get assigned as well as part time in the winter? I have a deadline to make a decision and I do not know anyone in the company to get the information from and unfortunately recruiting does not have the kind of information I need to make a decision. Please help anyone! |

Hey Guys, does anyone know the need of type rated Captains for TXL?! There where some last assessments in April for that.... Cheers Update from the Talent Pool received last week and again, only OPO available from beginning of 2020 and 1 week to decide... ANY info on OPO base would be highly appreciated. 1) Approximate salary after tax for a DEC with family 2) If it is possible to receive Non-Habitual Resident status as an easyJet Captain under the Portuguese tax laws, coming form outside EU (more than 10 years) 3) Living in Porto, as it seems to be a beautiful historic city 4) And why it is so unpopular that EZY can't seem to crew it, even after the revised salary package..... Thanks in advance! |
Easy policy OPO not available to British nationals, because of Brexit. Hence vacancies being carried. LHS320 |

Does that not contravene some sort of employment law? Last time I heard, UK is still part of the EU and the freedom of movement rules apply? In the meantime, from company communication, Direct Entry Captain requirements for S20 have not yet been fully accessed, they are working through internal command upgrade candidates so presently are unable to say precisely on S20 DEC requirements. |

LHS320 From the information I managed to gather it looks like the main reason is the very high taxation and Net salary after Tax, as the salary before tax is not that bad. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Any information from OPO and LIS based Captains is highly appreciated, as I'm enthusiastic about living in Porto but I need more information regarding the approximate salary after Tax. Is 7500 EURO a/month after Tax and Social Contributions achievable for a married Captain, with 2 school going children? Regards. |

Interesting statement LHS320, as they haven't been able to properly crew this base since it was first announced, well before the Brexit vote. Even then the Brits and other nationalities didn't seem to be interested. I wonder what is going to happen with all the Brits stationed in mainland Europe and all the other European nationalities remaining in the UK in case of a no-deal Brexit.

You get 14 salaries per year, but over 12 the numbers quoted are roughly correct. I am not based there, but that’s what I heard from collegues. |
I was invited to the selection process.
Anyone can tell me the net salary per month? PORTO, Non rated FO, married and 1 kid. Thanks |

At the moment there are no DECs planned for next financial year. Some of the assessments might be to build a holding pool. Things in easyJet can change very quickly though. |
Hello !
I would like to know the details about the type rating in CAE Gatwick. What about hotel and food? Where and which is the hotel? I know that the salary is the basic only, but I heard that if you are based out of London, you have some overnight allowance. Is it still in force? Does easy provide transportation to go there? Thanks |

Thank you THEAIRMISSION,
About the hotel : When I did the assment I remember that the airline briefing included an overview on the type rating conditions : basic salary and hotel. But it could have change now. However I wanted to know if the hotel chosen by easyjet would be next to CAE building. I will be under contract with easyjet during the TR, so I guess transport to gatwick is included. Concerning the night stop allowance, I remember that it was mentioned during the assesment briefing. But on my contract, that is written that the nightstop allowance is not concerning the initial training.... So I dont know... |
