If somebody could tell us in what exactly the assessment consist of would be great. Regarding the sim, which airport do they use? I read that there will be a non technical assessment (non my strong suit). I guess it's a conversation with the HR team? Shall I expect the usual HR questions and a group exercise? Anything tricky?

Is there a technical assessment too? Is it a single day assessment ? If I pass then I will be placed in the pool?

Cheers.

Found this somewhere: quite a lot of information about easyjet, how to join, how to pass, however, pretty much all in german. Relating to the berlin base. It is a Telegram group which you can join under https://t.me/ezypilotsgermany.

Thanks Denti. I can't open the link.

You need Telegram for that, it is a chat/messaging app available on all common platforms.

Hi guys, I've passed the assessment for Ezy in Berlin as DEC, looking for TXL base mainly. Could somebody please send me a few rosters so I could see what they look like, you can PM me as well if this works better. Is the TXL base mainly ex Air Berlin pilots, or is there a mix of pilots with different backgrounds? I heard that the base is a bit messy right now due to lack of pilots and some ex AB not being happy at Ezy, is this true or just rumors? A million thanks for anybody willing to share some inside info!

Good evening,

I sat the online aptitude back in July and was told that my application was successful but still no slots available for assessment. NTR Gatwick/Luton. Anyone heard anything about assessment days?

TXL is mainly ex-AB, new joiners and a few older Easy chaps who went there for various reasons. TXL is the more messy base with challenges to be dealt with, while SXF is older, settled and a very nice place to be.
Welcome to Easy, most people like it here ;)

Ditto.

Just got a Ryanair assessment date after sending them my CV a week ago so doubt I will ever end up meeting Easy.

Thank you for the replies. Sounds like there are a number of us in the same boat.

I'm curious. Why would anyone be looking to join Ryanair knowing what management thinks of pilots?

SXF base

what’s it like in SXF? Route network, colleagues etc.

the €160,000 gross salary works out about €8,000 net per month according to an online tax calculator, seems okay, is that a good wage for Berlin cost of living?

Thanks.

PBSniper 6th December 2018 14:17

8000 euro net is a good salary wherever you live

Hello Skyhigh,

Easyjey NTR Portugal base. Is it a set roster 5/4? Is there a roster option for pilots to commute to Portugal, like 20 days On, 10 days off?

Thanks

I’m based in Portugal with Easy, DEC and I love it. It’s a fantastic place to work, straightforward days, great crews and contract reasonable for what I need. Each to there own lifestyle depended on what your needs are but suites me perfectly. Anybody interested I have plenty of info regarding contracts, taxes, assessment commuting etc etc so feel free to message with any questions and I’ll be happy to answer. The contract is certainly not rubbish as others have said and CERTAINLY not a terrible place to work.

All gone rather quiet...Have any NTR FOs spoken to or had any contact from EZY regarding start dates?

Serenity 14th December 2018 16:14

Great if you want 75% of what they offer!!!!

BizJetJockey 15th December 2018 07:37

If part time works for you then it’s not the end of the world plus it gets better eventually.

Avstar, no commuting contracts as such. 5/4 is only available in Italian bases. 5/4/5/3 is the standard fixed-pattern for SFO's and Captains. After 12 months you can apply for 75% part time and go for either set days, or split month. Split month will give you 21 days random roster with a 7 day block off at the end. Repeats every 28 days. 50% split month will give you 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, ideal for commuting but of course a big pay cut.

What is the situation in the Amsterdam base? I am rated and current, looking at options.

I'd like some info also about Amsterdam base. I have to give my 2 choices of bases. I'd like to start with a 'busy' one where I can have a lot of destinations. That's why I'll ask Gatwick and I am interesting about Amsterdam as well.
