Hi there,
Did anybody, TR, non TR, military, etc... Get any news after the CV review email? |
What's the text of the CV review email? I've had several from EZY, the last one being a DTC. Nothing since.
Non TR, 3500h civ. |
Swept
Ex military and.....'you have not reached the necessary standards'. I hope you treat that comment with the utter contempt and disdain it deserves. Better luck next time with a more deserving and knowledgeable employer. |
I think Judge11 was referring to the actual phrasing. To say that a military trained pilot has not reached the required standards when he has already passed their lame online aptitude tests is laughable. That is not arrogant, as a mil pilot he will have already passed a far more gruelling selection process and flying training system than any civvy pilot. That's not arrogance it's the truth.
What they meant to say was "we have only a few positions for ex military pilots and we have had to make an unforeseen cut in numbers as so many of you passed our aptitude tests." |
could someone from EZ please confirm the simchecks are carried out on a 737,or in burgess hill on the a320?

What's the text of the CV review email? I've had several from EZY, the last one being a DTC. Nothing since. Non TR, 3500h civ. Congratulations on getting through to the next stage of the recruitment process for the role of First Officer with easyJet. The interest in the opportunity has been significant and, as a result, competition for places with us has been tough, so you have done really well to get this far. We are now completing our final review of applications and CV’s and will be short listing the candidates that will be invited to an easyJet assessment centre in the next 2 weeks. If you are successful following final shortlisting you will receive an invitation to book yourself on to an assessment centre, so please look out for this and log in to see the available dates and times as soon as you can. If you are invited to an assessment centre we will go through more information with you on the types of contract and locations which are available. However, just as a reminder, we will be offering both permanent and contract opportunities, both in the UK and across our mainland European bases. Contract opportunities also lead to a permanent easyJet contract, pending further assessment, after 12 months have elapsed. We are really looking forward to meeting you. Please stay in touch and if anything should change in your circumstances which might affect your application, please contact us at [email protected] Kind regards Pilot Recruitment Team |
Mototopo, are you TR or Non-TR?
Interesting to say "Congratulations on getting through to the next stage..." but also write "If you are successful following final shortlisting you will receive an invitation to book yourself on to an assessment centre..." The last and only email I've had from them was since completing the tests was as follows: "Good Afternoon, Thank you for completing the easyJet on-line assessment. I am delighted to confirm that you have successfully completed the on-line assessment stage of the recruitment process and will shortly receive an invite to join us for the next stage of the process. This will consist of an assessment centre and, if successful, a simulator check. You will hear from us shortly. Please don’t be concerned if this takes a number of weeks as we have a large number of candidates to communicate with. Congratulations again and we will be in touch with the next steps." I'm Civilian Non-TR. |
Guy
Thank you for clarifying the point I attempted to make. 'Requirements' and 'Standards' are two totally separate entities. The only arrogance on show is attributable to Easyjet. To tell a RAF pilot that he doesn't meet the necessary 'standard' must raise doubts about the workings of the Orange HR organisation It would be gratifying to believe that Easyjet pilots meet the Royal Air Force's 'Standards'. I know very many who do.........., then again......... |
mototopo,
...We are now completing our final review of applications and CV’s and will be short listing the candidates that will be invited to an easyJet assessment centre in the next 2 weeks... Edited to say that I don't think the above email has been sent to any non-TR. |
Superpilot,
Same for me mate, just asking if someone else have received this email too or next step's one before schedule... TR, ~1000 on bus, 3100 total. |
To clarify a few things:
I was recommend by a current EZY employee after the application and my DTC email was different to Mototopo's. it read: Good Afternoon, Thank you for completing the easyJet on-line assessment. Congratulations again and we will be in touch with the next steps. Kind regards, Hence it's pretty gutting to then receive the "You're not required" email but que sera. I'm guessing they made an error in their numbers and had to re-assess. Ill be interested to hear how the rest of you guys get on and hear about contracts. Good luck! |
Sorry but to better clarify, maybe I gave the wrong meaning:
I received the first email, the DTC (..I am delivhted to confirm bla bla....) on May 20th, then two weeks ago I received another email, this CV review I pasted on my previous post. Did anybody receive this last one too and-or further news? Tks again Moto |
Mine was the same as Swept's except that I was not recommended by a current easyJet employee.
Still heard nothing... I just hope that this really is a case of "no news is good news"! Good Afternoon, Thank you for completing the easyJet on-line assessment. Congratulations again and we will be in touch with the next steps. Kind regards, |
Just got another email. End of the road for me. Strung along all the way till the end of the 2 week waiting period and during that time received 2 emails containing the words "congratulations" and "successful" only to be dumped like this. It's reasonably obvious anyone getting rejected at this stage didn't get an assessment opportunity simply because there were far too many candidates to invite! But instead of keeping those details on file for further opportunities (i.e. recognising and appreciating the hard work pilot candidates have put in to jumping through the hundreds of hoops to date), EZ will be discarding all details and starting all over again when they next host the The Great Pilot Lottery.
TR'd, 1200TT, 600 A320. Good luck everyone. |
Invite to Appointment for First Officer - Non-type rated (military) (V3) position
Not all doom and gloom. I got this today.....
Dear Jambo Jet We are pleased to confirm that your application has been successful through the initial stage of our recruitment process. The next stage of the process is a 1 day assessment centre to be held here at our training Academy in Luton. This centre is designed to help us to understand more about you as an individual and how you prefer to handle situations, rather than your technical skills as a pilot. As a result, we will be spending time during the day taking you through a series of exercises and a 1:1 interview. It is also a chance for you to understand more about easyJet and whether we are the organisation for you. Follow the link below to schedule the time of your appointment, you can log into the scheduling centre using the same Login ID and password you used to apply online. Our time slots can fill up very quickly as places are limited so we'd encourage you to book your appointment on the earliest date possible. Please click here to view available dates and times. If you are successful at the end of the day then you will go forward to attend a 1 hour simulator session where you will be able to demonstrate your flying and technical skills on the flight deck. This may be on the day following your assessment centre or a separate session will be organised for you another time. You will be told this on the day. If you are no longer interested in working for easyJet then please click here to log in to the scheduling centre to withdraw your application. Thanks again for your interest in easyJet. Pilot Recruitment Team easyJet Regards, easyJet Recruitment |
