I still never got a confirmation that they received my email/CV, and they didn't even reply to my email asking for confirmation! I guess I'll just have to hope now.....

EASYFLY33 - As I said previously, I am not part of the selection system and therefore cannot answer you with 100% certainty. The truth is that the requirements for any company are always flexible, regardless of what they say, as it depends on who else is applying. What you have to bear in mind in this case is that the people easyJet specifically want are pilots who can be promoted to Captain within the next 2 years, should the need arise. From what you say, you are not in that category and therefore, regrettably, I think your application will be rejected as a direct entry First Officer.

I do think, however, that you would have the minimum entry qualifications for flexicrew. My advice would therefore be for you to approach Parc Aviation who can advise you further. I am sorry to not have a more positive reply, and I could of course be wrong. I hope that helps.

Hi Alexander, or anyone that has an opinion....

I applied early I believe and have heard nothing yet. I am currently on the A320 in the Middle East, and would love to make the move to Easy and build a career there. I have just over 500 hrs on type, 1700 hrs on 737 and 2500 hrs total. What are the chances I will be called for selection?

I just want to know if I am getting prepared for disappointment?!!

Regarding superced, I am not sure he does work for easyJet - he certainly is not on the easyJet forum. I think he is a Troll and nothing more.

Jimbo124 - your experience is clearly what easyJet are looking for, and therefore you must be a candidate to be called for interview. As I have been at pains to emphasise, I am not directly involved with recruiting but have a good handle on what is happening. The bottom line is that we will call forward the candidates we most like the look of - not being familiar with either the competition or yourself I cannot say who will be called and who will not. What I can say is that every application will be reviewed and the most desirable from easyJet's perspective will be invited for interview. I hope that helps and best of luck. By the way, do not read anything into the fact you have not had a reply yet - the people who doe all the recruiting are office dwellers and work Mon-Fri office hours so it will be after the weekend before too much happens.

Thanks Alexander, it is very kind of you to take the time to give such detailed and insightful responses. I do hope to work with you soon. I will just have to keep my fingers crossed, and then if the time comes, focus on completing what must be a rigorous selection procedure. To that end if anyone has any feedback for that stage I'm sure many would appreciate.

For information, and not to annoy people, but I have friends here in the middle east who are also waiting for non TR's to open, and so the competition will be fierce, many of these guys are on the 330 and 777 with in excess of 4000 hrs.

Nothing orange in my mailbox either....we will just have to wait .....thats the rules of the game.

Bad luck that you're not having any luck getting a job with your zero hours experience on A320.

I can't make my mind up if it's your 10 a penny inexperience or your puckered up "sucking lemons" face that means you just don't get the breaks.

Do you think there'd be any chance for pilots "staying in the middle"? I mean, this would also be for brand-new licensed pilots? Or only for cadets and experienced pilots?

The cadets are brand-new licenced pilots. Easyjet does not train them from 0 hours. CTC or a different FTO does.

if it was my face, I would say, OK, I need a face lifting,...never sent my pic to orange thus.It s not bad luck, it' s bad market for pilots because I could apply somewhere else, but it's everywhere the same(doors are closed for 320 pilots).

but it's not the case , these positions are for high caliber pilots (near capt experience)or 0 hours pilots ready to be trained in one of these TRTO and then pe paid low, very low for 4-6 legs a day..

between, regrettably it' s a waste of money.
Turbo prop pilots, instructors, or light jet pilots don't interest anyone.
We are still in the 2007 recession,and airline in europe have, I think, reached the maximum of planes they can get..
