What's the story with the LIS Capt. contracts? From an insider's point of view , how low did they go in trying to get cheap crews? Because from where I'm standing the contract is simply insulting, it looks like somebody screwed up and switched an F/O contract with a captain's contract.

Also curiouse about that Lisbon issue.
How offensive is the contract?
Where can I see it? I've been looking around but can't find it. Any body can give me the high lights?

Why is there so many differences between the contracts of the differente bases? Any explanation for that?
Why don't every body has the same contract???

You can write an email to Park requesting information but be warned you will be shocked once you deduct Portuguese taxes and factor in the increase in cost of living , both have been on the rise due to the financial crisis. VAT at 23% and 4-5000 Euro incomes being hammered in southern European countries , you can count on a mediocre living standard with little or no savings and questionable job security. In my opinion they are just fishing for bargains and If you're smart Asia is the logical step.

Hello guys, sorry to interrupt. Just a few questions. I see that a lot of you guys really know EasyJet.

I'm currently flying the Abus on a Major airline but things are not going very well. Big debt, lot of people going to the desert, etc...

I recieved a job offer from Parc aviation for a UK, France or German EasyJet Base with a Flexi Crew contract. What is that???
Then they sent me one other propostition that I copy bellow:

This contract is a fixed time contract and you will not be a permanent employee with the company. None so far is working to these t&cs.

May I ask you if you are applying as cpt or fo?

Actually it's a good place to work, but these new contracts smell.

It makes total sense. There is a requirement in Portugal for a limited number of pilots with around 6 crews per aircraft. It is a truly dreadful contract, dreamed up by the Group Ops Director himself, and is Ryanair in all but name. There will always be people willing to take it from outside, and a handful of people inside desperate enough to take the deal due to family circumstances, Portuguese relatives etc. It is bad news, but there you have it.

There you have it sums it up nicely.

In order to ensure consistency of landing technique, additional experience restrictions have been placed on new entrant right-hand- seat pilots regarding flap 3 landings.

Prior to conducting flap 3 approaches during line operations, the following restrictions apply:

Cadet pilots:
*** Restriction removed and continuation training completed (No flap 3 training during line training)

Direct entry First Officers:
*** Restriction removed
(Flap 3 training will take place during line training)

We will be changing and burping them next.:confused:

I have a friend considering the Lisbon deal - he gets a 2 year job and a type rating out of it - he is concerned about the deal and the degradation of terms but has a family to feed.

The trouble is that managers are cutting everything and everyone to the bone, keeping their inflated bonuses and screwing the rest of us.

I feel for my friend and also for the cadets on a dreadful contract!!

He will feed the family for two years but no more. Lisbon will close as the yields will be bad . NCL next possibly followed by the failed experiment at Southend. Then STN will start to look vulnerable. Looking forward to W patterns.

I don't they should have known what they were getting into when they signed the training deal with the devil aka CTC.
