great, do you have the contact details?

Deano777 10th Feb 2019 19:01

No details that I'm willing to post on a public forum. Their contact details should be on the bottom of your email correspondence.

Any more info on TXL base for captains? How is the roster and how many overnights can you expect per month? Will recruitment for DEC re-open again soon?

anyone have a similar experience?

TXL looking full for now. No more internal promotions to the base. Also, with numerous ex-AB FOs with more than enough hours now eligible for internal upgrades I would suggest DEC in Germany won’t happen again very soon.

What is the typical net monthly pay for a year 1 SFO? (Rated and well in excess of the factored hours).

It depends on the country.

You need to have a Swiss license following employment. We unfortunately can't hire anybody with a UK licence in future (due to BREXIT).

I did some 2 weeks ago, got the invitation to an interview a couple days later. I'm rated, though

Enigma01 18th Mar 2019 11:04

Just did the online assessment for EZS. Wondering how long i have to wait before getting invited. Does anybody know if these are to be done in SwitZerland???

Recruiting with Easy seems to stopped at the moment, no vacancies anymore on their website.

Waiting time before getting invited can of course vary, but can be up to 7 months.
Test are done in Geneva, head offices of easyJet Switzerland.

I realise there are many variables, but I’m looking for an average GROSS monthly figure for LGW LHS on 100%. Cheers.

£10600 PCM, year one.

dirk85 26th Mar 2019 10:51

Plus sector pay, I would say 125k average.

Thanks guys

Enigma01 23rd Apr 2019 15:40

Hi guys

i just received a POF letter after having finished the online test beginning if March.

Shortly after i got an email saying i “succesfully” past the assessment. Whatever that means.

Now i got mail saying they were reviewing my application and that i did not reach the benchmark, although i was fulfulling their requirements.

Are they now saying my online test was not good enough or my cv was just not good enough????

Ziller85 10th May 2019 20:51

Hey Guys,

does anyone know the need of type rated Captains for TXL?! There where some last assessments in April for that....

Cheers

Long long internal waiting lists for upgrades in Berlin now so I doubt we will see any direct entry commands.

Miracles can happen. I just doubt it will. All entrants will be approved by the PV first and so, unless for some exceptional reason, they would protect internal candidates who are waiting and are looking at waiting for a long time due to no expansion plans in TXL or SXF currently. Just don’t get your hopes up and be prepared to get offered a different base.

dirk85 11th May 2019 15:38

The last DECs into TXL are about to finish or have just finished their conversion course these days.
On the left seat we seem to be well covered (or so they think, at least), so new hires expected now (might change anytime).
We are a bit short of FOs.
Internal upgrades also on hold temporarily.

goman1 15th May 2019 19:04

Does anybody know if Easyjet are planning anymore DEC recruitment soon? UK bases preferably. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks

Ziller85 16th May 2019 06:08

Good Morning,

I was put to the talent pool as DEC Captain to wait for any station available... Does anyone know about the situation, I know seems to be full at TXL for example, but the assessment was for DEC TXL and they had been optimistic in the interview... Is there anyone knows some infos from inside?

Thanks guys

I recently attended an assessment day for NTR FO. Any idea how long after the assessment day you are likely to hear the outcome?

SoFarFromHome 3rd Jul 2019 15:31

Good afternoon,

May I ask what the chances of a position in Portugal are as FO?

I used to have a 320 rating but not anymore so technically would be unrated.

Was thinking Portugal until command and then apply for a move back to blighty, perhaps EDI and part time command.....

Thats a dream, is it reasonable or realistic?

Any thoughts much appreciated,

SFFH

dirk85 3rd Jul 2019 16:32

Being based in Portugal as an FO in realistic, the second part not so much.
EDI is going to take a long time to get as Cpt.

SoFarFromHome 3rd Jul 2019 18:02

Thanks Dirk85,

What would be your best guess for the command slot in EDI?

dirk85 3rd Jul 2019 19:34

It wildly depends on the expansion of the base, almost impossible to make a prediction.
Currently around 70 people on the command waiting list as fas as I understand.

SoFarFromHome 4th Jul 2019 14:48

Thank you Dirk85,

70 people in the line to get to EDI, wow that's the end of that dream then.

Thanks for the info....plan B

dirk85 4th Jul 2019 15:10

Also consider that among those 70 there are a few FOs already in the initial command process (that can last quite some time, years) and other Captains that might not even be interested to move there once they get the call.
Some people put themselves on a transfer list as a backup plan in case their base is downsized, but you can't really know, which makes any prediction very difficult.

Would you be able to elaborate on where this information was gleaned?

Do new hire unrated FO's still have to pay for their own type rating or can they be bonded now?
