I hope you are not a manager, with FERetd's nom de guerre giving us all the clue that they are a retired Flight Engineer, the chances that they are retired is pretty high. You wonker however, are not, and with a demonstrated level of intelligence I would expect from an 8 year old not being displayed by you, I worry about the future of BA. I would hope that the managers there are a lot smarter than that.

Isn't he/she a disgruntled BASSAmentalist who last year stated something along the lines of "can't wait to bring BA to it's knees". Sorry sweetie you lost last year and you can't have it both ways.

Engage brain, think straight, focus and ......rotate!
Remember slightly longer hours, slightly reduced remuneration and a passion to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. I'm in ......are you?

Please don't quote me on this but I was led to believe cabin crew gained a contractual agreement protecting their pay, terms and conditions for life.
Also the 'beat from Main Street' is next week mixed fleet will be gaining Unite recognition (is this not BASSA?).
I just hope all can work together to deliver a harmonious relationship resulting in a secure and profitable organisation.

I'm going to bite one more time just for and giggles. WW, Looking at your past posts you are one who considers DH the baby jebus. Unfortunately your union bailed on you (unite being the Union not BASSA). And everything BA wanted they got, because their needs and demands were reasonable.
Also by your posts, it is very clear that a) you are not involved in and b) you do not understand the proposed EASA rules. in the UK 1000 hours have already been binned and so will have no effect on BA pilots. Also BALPA has a rostering agreement with BA which is contractual and so the proposed easa rules will not have any bearing, at least not in your life time. If that's offensive, why not jump back on that open topped bus circling bedfont and scream for Willy's head. Oh hang on he got promoted, and this may get me banned briefly oh well. Darling you wont be missed, worst case scenario a short haul f/o will take your trip to enjoy a beijing trip. can you swap places? didnt think so

Let's put this one to bed shall we. Watersidewonker is peddling whatever discord he can muster up to try and get BA pilots ruffled. He failed last time and now seems to want us all to think he is somehow 'management'. Even the industrial tribunal board failed to see the funny side when, at tribunal, he attempted to explain his reasons for 'bunking off' without permission by claiming he was afforded 'management grade priviliges'. Sadly for him he was the only one who thought that.
For those who don't know his previous style:
And, he claims he's 'management':
I think that sort of ends this thread as the sly attempt to get another workforce riled. Still no Champers eh?
Ooops, missed out the 'University' education in the 70's old chap:
From this thread:
From previous posts:
Please try and be consistent, it adds to the weight of your argument.
Hypocritical indeed.
As for Air France, everyone in the industry expects them to re-structure, they are E6.5 billion in debt as a group. IAG are not.
For those who don't know his previous style:
I know BASSA reps will not let us down in court and a win will be a bonus although BA will appeal and appeal injunct again and again but we are not going to let the little man get us down. Proud to be in BASSA and i know our reps will give it go but BA spending millions on strike busting companies and legal teams sometimes money talks.
Well i just can't wait for my ballot paper to arrive and my return to Sandown Park for a massive YES vote. Glad to hear the judge has seen fit to have a full trial.
Sorry about the punctuation but being cabin crew my school progress was quite weak to be honest with you it could be bordering slobbish behaviour. I can hold my head high with pride that I would never betray my colleagues unlike what has been shown by other sections of the flying community.
Today an article in The Independent quotes my message of the 25th of November so the press do look at this site.
Trust BA management i'd rather get Doctor Shipman look after my folks for the weekend.

Ooops, missed out the 'University' education in the 70's old chap:
From this thread:
University was late 70's, business management degree Wirbelsturm, so mildly educated in the needs of a business in order for it to succeed and prosper.
Flap62 i can't grasp english very well as i didn't attend a grammar school i woz at a comprehensive enit. Although i may not be able to fly a plane im still smart enough to be able to go on nightstops and talk about things other than the good old RAF. Getting back to the point once again i don't understand why the pilots are so interested in our dispute with the company, after all we are the ones to lose if it all goes pear shape or am i wrong being on my basic salary of £12,000 unlike £50,000-£135,000 plus benefits.
Hypocritical indeed.

WW,
You clearly have a bee in your bonnet.
The destruction of pilots terms and conditions will continue to the point of 10% of that above Mixed Fleet. Seems only fair right?
With 500,000 NEW (250,000 now) pilots required worldwide in the next 20 years, air force recruits dwindling due to drones/shrinking budgets and the massive cost of training I am sure these posts will be filled easily. I guess the airlines could lobby to let pilots work to 70 or 75 to delay what is coming.
Things are changing in the industry and airlines are using the current climate to do their best to make these changes happen. If BA/VS/EASY don't want to pay me or my skilled colleagues then we go work for those who will.
Supply and demand. Simples.
