@enemymine
Well, I was one a couple of years ago. So were many others. I'm not sure if it was desperation, or good business sense.
Anyway, I didn't damage the company, it's assets or it's reputation - I hope!!
All I'd say is: if you're sick of being an FO, have the rating and enough experience, the DEC opportunity at Wizzair is something to seriously consider. It will NOT do your career any harm.
On the contrary, it will very likely enhance it.
It won't be everyone's choice to work in some "exotic" places in Eastern Europe, but having a Command on an A320 makes you more marketable for future opportunities.

The trouble is, as I read it from their website, they still require 1500 PIC hours on jets above 40 tonnes. This is in addition to an Airbus FBW rating.
Or am I not looking at current info?

Hi DRF,
No one answered that Q, 'cause that's a though one, changing constantly.
But as we speak, Bucharest, Katowice, Vilnius, are some of the safe bets.... Might be all different the day you join.
One thing is sure: Do NOT expect a Budapest, Prague, Warsaw, Gdansk, Sofia, Cluj, to mention only a few ones.
Yo!

i wouldnt also bet on vno. they prefer locals and since air baltic is going down they have a lot of applications from there.
i would bet on ktw. since no one wants to visit this place where god kissed mother poland and on top of that you will get a local contract, its quite a safe bet you will end up there.
meaning either living in the woods close to the airport where there is nothing to do except fighting on the streets with drunk locals or accepting a drive to work out of ktw city ranging from 40-90min each day.
in ktw you will also enjoy the same safe environment plus a commander salary of max 5000net or less or as an fo 2500or less. then you might deduct 1000 per month for your rating from these values so i guess thats the place where you end up since everybody is so eager to go there... enjoy!
gdn or poz would be nice places to go but i guess they are full...
about the time for call, no clue, my application was years ago and they lost it so i called and send a new one. then it went off pretty fast!
hr department in wizz is known to be super competent and top notch so give it a bit of time and then call again or re-sent your application, in all their wisdom and glory they might loose yours as well...

According to my test you should study principles of flight, autoflight, meteorology, systems and random facts about wizzair. (where were they established etc) You will still find some really tricky questions which I still would not be able to answer (ie. ambiguity). Best of luck.

Looking for some WizzAir info
hello collegues!
Would appreciate if someone could fill me with some info regarding Wizz Air.
I am thinking to aply for direct entry non-type rated capt.
In which base are now open, how much is the salary, how is with taxes, what money they ask for A320 rating, and what is the best way to apply- direct with wizzair or through the broker. What is with this online Questionary. Somebody knows how does it looks?
Really am interested if you can get Kiev, what is the situation there?
All in all, looking for as much info, so I can decide if it is worth it.
Thanks
