Comfy skipper, who does not like having the mick taken!

BIG NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it interesting that the guys who in the last ballot were worried and did not want to strike but would consider work to rule, are now really hacked off and rather than accept the deal with a scheduling improvement are now screaming strike if the next deal is not a realistic pay rise and decent scheduling!!! Im positive it will be a NO vote!! Who other than someone who is insane would vote for a paycut when the companies made money hand over fist before during and after the pay freeze!!!

ARE YOU LISTENING 720B!!!!

I am dash left hand seat and voting no. However if the next offer is 5% without the scheduling changes then I'm afraid I'll vote no to that as well. Current scheduling is wrong that needs righting just as much as our poor pay.

I'll be telling Balpa formally just so theres no misunderstanding next time. Every single member should do the same. Gauaging feelings from base visits is too unscientific to pin down our priorities.

Can someone please explain to me what the point was in the CC asking us, all those many months ago, what the minimum pay award we would accept is, then having a ballot on the company’s first final offer. If after going back to the table and wasting even more time, they then come back and recommend the same thing we said we would not accept in the first place and then rejected.

If this ballot is another NO, as it damn well should be, the CC and its principle negotiator should (if they had an ounce of self respect) resign immediately for having the audacity to recommend we accept this travesty, since they have patently failed in their duty to represent the wishes of the membership.

(P.s. Army of one, love it!!!!)

and having the council resign will accomplish what exactly? New elections would be required, a new negotiator and a new ballot probably. Show how unimpressed (or disgusted) you are by voting NO and giving the council a stronger mandate

I agree fully.

No members should resign from Balpa if they want their voice to be heard.

Vote NO and give the CC our full backing again.

Let them know - again - that they have our full mandate to represent our demands for decent pay and scheduling

With respect, Bluff, I already gave them a strong mandate to go and get me something decent. 81% of us did. How much stronger do they want it?

I do agree with you that the time for recriminations and resignations and withdrawals should come after this entire sorry saga has been seen through to a more than satisfactory conclusion for the pilot workforce.

CC so did I. Give a member of the council a ring (if it's not engaged!) or send them a text, I got a callback from a text within 10minutes. Let them explain their thinking to you and reaffirm your support but also your aspirations, their numbers are on the Balpa forums

So when this gets another big no what are the CC going to ask for then? 15% and a big improvement in scheduling?

Or will it be straight to ACAS or ballot for a strike?

It is my understanding it's straight to ballot for IA when it's a NO

Ok, so you ballot for IA. What are you striking for? 5%. Or more? What will Balpa ask for this time because it better be good and 5% isn't.

Whatever it is you need to make the CC aware because if they go and ask for 5 again you're not going to get anywhere near a decent rise. They (Balpa) must aim higher. And that includes the scheduling aswell unless that is going to be a seperate issue, which it should be.

Bluff, a few months a go yes. Although, sadly, I no longer work at Flybe I still can't help wanting a decent package for you.

Who knows, I might come back if it's good enough.

All Flybe folk, good luck in your endevours. I have been watching for a while & have to say that your management have been short changing you for many many years. Your CC has not been too hot either. Hold your nerve!
