585 GBP putting food on planes here in NZ. Work six days a week, 4:30 am start everyday. Thought of the LHS of a nice big shiney jet is enough to get me up in the morning. Half-way through first part of OATS distance course to convert my NZ frozen ATPL so I'm a wee way off yet.

Hapag-Lloyd F/O 737 2nd year 5.500 DM net (10000 DM gross), Capt 737 2nd year 10.500 DM net (17.000 gross), average p.m, 850 hrs/yr including overtime, bonuses... Company pays little pension, appr. 800 DM p.m. after being 25 yrs with company.
Capt. 17 yrs approx. 16.000 DM net (26.000 DM gross) p.m.
All net salaries as taxed as single. If married, net increases significantly (at least on your pay slip).

A320 captain, British Mediterranean. Take home pay varies with workload due to long slips and allowance rates.
Reasonable pension and other benefits. (they don't give you £30k to join them, but we certainly get an easier life than those that do!!! Payrise on the way though!!)

Qantas Capt. on 767..... on average payed about US$5200 per month after tax and retirement contributions, does not include meal allowances.
770hrs flying a year, 11 days off a month and 6 weeks holidays a year.
