Very difficult to tell. The fact that the plan of 30 from a few months ago has changed to 120 shows how dynamic the situation is. Chances are that more opportunities will arise. Alot will depend on the GB guys & gals & if they are happy with the change!

Speaking of GB, is there any indication yet on how and when the operations will be combined ?

Yup, just to confirm, my number was not made up based on aircraft numbers. It came pretty much from the horse's mouth. Which does not mean they might not change their plans half-way through next year, but for now 120 is it.

My understanding is that the entire GB summer programme will be flown by GB crews i.e. as an airline within an airline.

I have been offered a position with Easyjet.

I was swimming for, my god, a week.

The industry changes very quickly, nuff said.

hmmmgoodOJ,

just wondering what fleet you'll be on. I've recommended some pilots, who are hoping for the "classic fleet" but they've heard nothing regarding interviews. Still I'm sure that jet2 will come calling and sweep them up.

cheers!

Just to clarify, has anyone in the pool since October been given a start date, and if so...

a) When did they call
b) Are you DEP or TRSS
c) What fleet
d) What bases did you ask for

I have been swimming in the pool since March, DEP, A319, UK bases and still no call....

Many thanks

Maybe HmmmgoodOJ is cheap (i.e. already type rated). Quick and easy to get on line. Alternatively................

Anyone know the 'life expectancy' of the 737 in EZY? Presumably to be replaced by Airbus eventually?

No one knows what is happening in EZY until it is announced. 737s could be gone in three years. On the other hand....?

I am hearing that they are fully staffed until the summer, which I am guessing means start dates around Mar/Apr/May, which in turn means calls Jan/Feb.

Lets hope so anyway...

I am now hearing that there are only about 12 more aircraft coming this year, all in Q4. Which means 120ish FOs to start in Q3 (earliest), and 60 command upgrades. Which means no phone calls until Q2 - another 6 months!

I saw HmmmgoodOJ was on Boeing, which may explain any call....
