BOB,

Yes I know how substract. What I meant was no expansion for 35 aircrafts. The question then remains how many of the 85 aircraft will replace older aircrafts? Never the less, my whole point is the longer time passes by before the actual massive ekspansion how many SFO's will then be ready for DEC? Answer; More and more

You are absolutely right, DEC will come back but it will take time and it will never be in the same numbers as before.
Over & out.

Orangetree

wow, I had no idea you think so high of things that are so and hollow...

Anyway. The company agreed already last year they would stop with DEC. But nah... The union brought this matter to the attention to the company and agreed to agree on the statement from the company of "feeling ashamed and it will not happen again" Yes its amazing how much words and politics there are in this matter. The union achieved nothing (as I wrote in a post before but obviously you cant read) and that is really sad. Again, it ment nothing at all so the company will continue doing as they want. And costing money just to keep friends and politics happy. Its FUBAR

The company totally missed the calculation of crew, yes. But telling lies and costing lots of extra money is not the way to keep a happy ship. I can only hope that top management starts cleaning up internally, so the politicians disappear. That would make the difference.

Management talks about thinking outside the box. Orangetree, have you even found that box yet? I suggest you do that before you submit a reply again. Take some time off, get your head around this and hope to talk to you when you can act as a adult.

Trying to cover up this is a huge misstake. Even thinking that it is perfectly normal managing this way. It makes me want to

Sorry but I am standing my ground. And will never . Last orangetree, people burning out only happens in a very hot, dark place managed by Hades. And I am not the one ending up there since my conscious is clean...How is yours?

Thanks for all the input re DEC's guys and gals, didn't mean to touch a nerve though clearly I have. I agree the company should promote those already in the RHS with required experience etc, thats what career progression is all about and without which I'd still be an FO..... which would be great at the moment given what happened to my last employer! I know it's frustrating to hang around waiting for that first command especially when people like me come straight into the LHS but that seems to have been addressed and at least it seems easy are going in the right direction as a company on that score. Requirements for DEC's will always change with market conditions so hopefully after all you aspiring Captains have the correct seat there'll be a job for me. Now where was the job centre again...?

I wish my local served what the Viking chap's been drinking. Doesn't seem to very good for the blood pressure though.
Here's one for you Viking: Start watching the news, start reading what's sent to you and on other parts of this forum, then go give yourself a good shake.

Consolidation...

Yep, obviously no physical growth of the EZY-fleet for 2009, some "old" 737s, A321s and A319s to leave, yet replaced by "new" A319s...

What about FOs in the Hold Pool? Or do you mean no more recruitment to fill the Hold Pool?

The latest missive from The orange hangar suggests that disposal of some 320's, 321s and 737s will be equal to the new 319 / 320 deliveries hence no growth. There might still be people leaving to go to pastures new but essentially, the number of people coming into the company will be significantly reduced over the next year.

Hi Carbheatin,

I hope you don't me asking, but where did you find out the information regarding the numbers in the Hold pool and the 737 course in December?

Do you know if the guys in the pool have any way of finding out what is happening. I believe that next year at EZY, they will struggle to break even, and they are selling several aircraft, so I just don't see when any of us are going to get called forward in the foreseeable future.

My assessment was back in July and that was to be based in MXP (Milan). I have heard nothing from the Easy recruitment team, and I was just wondering if you had any idea what may be going on?

Thanks mate. I'm just glad to have a job at the moment, but there is so much uncertainty within the industry. I just hope that there is not a time limit in the Hold Pool, where we may have to reapply, if a position does not become available.

Good luck and keep in touch mate.

Cheers,

Solo

Solo, yes selling aircraft and handing back leases, but getting new-built airframes from Finkenwerder, so the total number will be more or less the same as now.

As a sidenote, there is a very long, internal waiting list for MXP, but the base is also expanding a lot.

Reallyannoyed,

Many thanks for your reply mate. I guess I'm going to be sitting in the pool until way into next year.

Is it still the case that there will be a 737 course in December?

Just a case of sitting tight and holding on to our present jobs until things improve next year with Ezy

Many thanks once again.

Cheers,

Solo.

GB pilots not great?

Just for clarification, the correct phrase would be "they're not great"....

Perhaps you might like to clarify what awful things you have heard about us GB pilots tenth hand?

Fingers crossed they don't add an english test to the Easyjet joining process.... Smile....

Maybe Bahee was confusing the highly trained and professional GB crews and the ATP pay to fly guys?

Let's be absolutely clear, once and for all, about this. I am a current EZY pilot and trainer, and all our colleagues formally of GB, that I have met, are as professional and competant as any of our other pilots - highly so.

How's your spanish?

You obviously don't appreciate that working in a multi lingual airline/industry will sometimes lead to such dreadful mis-spelling or grammatical errors!!

What a cheap shot at Bahee.
