That's a great argument indeed ! just tell the EZY managers that you are the best ones and nobody can replace you not even wizzair pilots

NB: by the way, how many guys are there in the current holding pool ?
and how many guys are there waiting for an interview with EZY ?
And how many guys flying A320/330s in Africa and Asia and middle East looking for a base in their home country ? (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, ...)

How many?

How many guys would still be interested if:
  1. No Fixed Roster
  2. Local Contracts with T&C benchmarked to the local level
  3. No union power, which will soon lead us to become another FR

And who know if the list would stop there?

By the way Gulieme (nice one, I think lots of people would remember it )
even Vuelling is now offering 5-3-5-4, this means that other airline are trying to match our current package, to keep their pilots, and if our conditions get worse maybe others don't have to work so hard to offer a proper deal

You're right! Hundreds of people fancy it because many people in EZY (like myself) are complaining and pushing the envelop in order to improve things. That the whole point why EZY is better than many other low cost airline and that is the reason why we should fight hard (yes, even industrial action if needed) to keep it that way.

That is also the reason why people like yourself want to join in the first place, however with your mentality you would probably end up bringing EZY down to the same crappy level as the crap airline you want to leave right now! So you might as well save yourself the trouble of moving and stay where you are now. You contradict yourself in every possible way.

You are indeed your own worst enemy.

I am happy with my current company, and I am not planning to apply with EZY. However, I think EZY is a very good company due to the possibility to be based in your home country, fly modern aircraft, lots of routes all over Europe and North Africa, and money is very good.
So If you are interested in a 5453 roster, go to Vueling ! they are looking for pilots but you wont be paid as much as in EZY, and it seems that their new roster patern is not helping them at all to make money

So do something constructive: instead of posting so much about a company you don't even work for, why not try to improve the package of the company you DO work for? Who do you fly for anyway?

it s better to complain and ask more and always more, than to be satisfied and see one day all your privileges being wiped off.

My last job offer come from a company in Istanbul asking me 10'500$ to fly the airbus for 150h.Is it what we want? certainly not.

is it what eazyjet wish? I let you answer.

we live in a period where jobs go to china, so unscrupulous big boss can make millions a year to buy nice boats and have cocktail parties on the french riviera.

Everybody loves Ezy

Gulieme,
I love my job, never said it's crap, have I?
But I wouldn't keep the same opinion if they change the roster, the money and everything else they fancy bcause it would be more efficient!
Never said I want to go to Vuelling! I said that at the moment many in the industry are trying to catch up with our T&Cs to be more attractive to pilots and if the situation change in Easy maybe for them it would be easier to recruit!
By the way, G, If you like it that much let me know, you shoudl apply, I will reccomend you and maybe I get 250£ for it, or maybe not!
Bon courage Speevy

P.S. I am not your mate! never been and never will! I don't like people that have no respect, even when posting on a forum!

Funny thing

I might be very slow but just found out how to make the whole pprune thing a much better and fun thing to read: I put Nuageblanc on ignore, and vupti, all the treads here makes much more sence with only half the daft comments as normal.

I can recommend this for everybody

By the way, to all the complainers: I agree that we shall still work hard to improve our conditions with EZY and not let them drag us down to FR levels. Things can, and must improve.
BUT please spare me for all this about that EZY is crap. If that is your attitude then it is too long time since you tried to work for another airline (EZY is one of the better in the industry with lifestyle), OR you have never tried to work outside the cockpit in a "normal" job.

I really think some people here needs to come down to reality and open their eyes in the real world of slavery that we ALL live in.

Having said that, we should never give up improving things

"There was a massive amount of Whizz Air guys assessed last year - guess what? They all failed."

Not too sure about that, the 2 Storm guys with whom I did the first part of my rating with last year, Flew for Wizz and then went on to Easy no probs.
The only hiccup they had was getting air-side passes.

That's what I heard as well. Although I know of 4 ex-Wizz pilots flying for easyJet. That's myself included.
Isn't getting an airside-pass a hick-up for everyone?

How is 5354 (or fixed rosters in general) more costly to the company than the alternatives?

Clearly I should clarify my previous.

A very large number of Whizz pilots were assessed, and a approx 95% were not offered contracts.

No mention of Whizz or ex Whizz pilots being good guys or other wise, just statement of fact with no malice intended.
