Hi! did you know that as a quid pro co to Indian Operators for lobbying in extending the DGCA's tenure MCA has permitted foreign crew sets to fly together. Bye bye Indian CPL holders. welcome expat cojoes.
Indigo, the only indian carrier that has stubbornly refused to employ or train any indian entry level pilot has got it made. Poor indian suckers will after begging and borrowing upto USD $ 40,000/- will again be jobless.
Foreign pilot applications maybe sent and Indian pilots waiting and watching may send their resignations to VP HR.

Guys, I dont see the problem here. Like someone said earlier, as long as the best qualified pilot gets the job, who cares where he/she comes from? Its called open market and free competition... This is how things work in many (most?) parts of the world already. If India wants to grow and become a big -er player on the worlds market you guys better get used to the competition. Or maybe you expect to keep the cake and eat it?
Anyway, with the current pay levels in india it should not be too much of a probelm...maybe some expat competition will be a positive thing, pushing pay upwards? Lots of jobs in india over the next 10-15 years, be positive guys...

Lots of Orange flight crew seem interested. Be interersting to see the deal offered. No doubt the more who seem interested to lower to T & C 's will be. After all they aren't doing it to "Enhance the lifestyle options" as the E:mail suggests, but to make the Orange machine some extra cash due to current over staffing.

The same will happen as with MAD. Some guys jump on the bone, the company is positioning in front of their nose.
No exact clue about the contracts, but raise the hand to go for it! Management likes those guys! Finally they can keep T& C´s down for the "indian pilot experience"

ehhe ure a cadet and u want 4 stripes in 2 years..!!??i would keep a bit of a lower profile if i were u. cheers
by the way conditions are better than many non low cost companies
as for the other things said here i really dont get what the problem is..they simply asked whos interested, they probably dont know the conditions yet themselves. its just a possibility on a volunteer basis,if u dont like it u dont go and stay where u are!none is forcing you.
it seems to me that sometimes we complain just for the sake of it.

Jeremydewer,
Kraut works for easyJet, and has been on these forums for quite a while now, so perhaps the least you could do is check your facts before posting.
I too work for easyJet. I have joined the company with 1500hrs and a full ATPL, and I can assure you I am at the very least 2 to 3 years to a command, ie, nowhere near for the moment! Perhaps you should think long and hard about what it is to be a captain. For heaven's sake you'll still be getting used to your job after just 2 years! I know I was and even now I learn new things every day I go flying, greatly thanks to the experience level of the guy sitting to my left
.
My advice: concentrate on becoming a good First Officer and then you'll be ready to be a good Captain.
