Buyer Beware

I wouldn't pay for a "type" with the prospects of going to Indigo, your hours wont come quickly, dont count on building hours there in 3 to 4 months, its a misconception, you wont know what your doing for days on end, sat in a so called "buisness class apartment", surrounded by poverty you did not think existed, and Indigo will change at last minute your flights, you would be much better paying for a job with Ryan Air, and build your hours there and then move on! Just my opinion for what its worth, not sure what other deals exist, but give it some carefull consideration, before committing to there.

Indigo- India's only foreign airline!

I know 4 a fact there are more Indian co-pilots offered jobs with Indigo and about to embark on the type rating and sim check soon. In any case, a number of airlines have similarly voiced concern that the aircrew shortage is affecting their operations and flying with an Indian pilot on the jump seat is costly and not feasible in the long-termThe DGCA have hitherto given permission for non-Indian pilots to fly together.

I doubt if this will be for long though!

Is it possible for anyone flying with Indigo, how your sickpay is organised?
So how many sickdays are "paid/insured" and from which point are you supposed to pay yourself( read: deducted from your salary ?

Another question for people in general in India : Is it recommended to be "vaccinated" ? (Hep A/yellow fever/typhoid etc) ?

Thanks in advance.

Ifly Vs King

320capt - I agree with you.
Ifly - think twice before doing so! And don't be surprised when you face something different, ok?
