well I heard from WW himself today that the move from BA underwing ops has nothing to do with a move from BA. He said that is part of their conditions within the franchise to choose this and does not indicate a move form BA.
He said as far as he knows the franchise is ongoing until 2010 and they are contemplating whether or not to stay with BA after this date as they cannot necessarily see the advantages over the costs.

You will probably fair better in the long run away from London Airways on their reckless road to T5, sorry RUIN!
Better than than recklessly supporting operations that someone else with a lower cost base can make a better stab of doing!

Went to Mr Walshs forum at LGW today and gb was asked about . The franchise is still running until 2010 and ba is not intending to walk away from it neither is GB so these rumours are not true!

Flyer55,

What else did he have to say? Any of the dispatchers raise the issue on how they been shafted on APPG and the split of the section?

Would like to have gone along but currently away in Europe at the moment.

FlapJack, don't be too hasty...

"The franchise is still running until 2010 and ba is not intending to walk away from it neither is GB so these rumours are not true!"

History tells us that statements like these are normally made immediately before exactly the opposite happens!

I was at the same meeting and Willy said he was not sure what GB would be doing ... and I feel GB are in a precarious financial state, BMED were less than 48 hours from the reciever

Have to agree with Man Flex - looking closer at WW "statement": He says "and ba is not INTENDING to walk away.." - as I'm sure they didn't INTEND to let BMi buy BMed...

See u all on the picket line (barrier)

Well 'the flap', you are clearly desperate for me to be wrong but WW said what I previously quoted and he's said it several times. It's no use shooting the messenger, these comments are common knowledge within the flight ops community in BA and have been for some time. Perhaps you should note yachtno1s comment:
I was at the same meeting and Willy said he was not sure what GB would be doing
Thats a very different report from the other posters that you are so keen to believe. I also seem to recall WW saying BA Connect would be given two years to break even and look what happened to them 6 months after that statement.

Pax Agent, Flyer 55

This LGW forum you attended, is that an annual event or was it a one-off?

A one off eh? Why did WW feel the need to have such a forum at this moment in time?

for the same reason that he did hold a forum at LHR base and now LGW after the threat of industrial action in an attempt to improve industrial relations and cummunications. In a few words your assumption regarding the timing of the forum is pretty out of place.

Thumbs down

Be warned fellow friends at GB.

BA had no interest in the fate of BMED. We carried many of their Club World Passengers, BA made easy cash out of us for doing nothing other than let BMED wear the BA Colours.

They don't care about your future.

I wish you luck.

Guys and Gals,
I think you are seriously disillusioned if you think that there will be a big announcement in the coming days,..........

There will be no annoucement whilst the threat of a strike is there,......
