Joining RYANAIR allready type rated?
Can anybody put me in the picture as what to expect on joining Ryanair already with a type rating and decent hours on type but needing upgrading to NG from 300-500?
How much can you expect in take home pay £££ as an senior FO at a UK base i.e EMA or LPL, STN ?- and how long on average does promotion take given the rapid expansion? Equally are you on reduced pay for an initial period etc.
I am also keen to find out what the upgrade process to Captain is like as the operator I am with now seems to prefer DEC's and as such has a long and arduous assessment process for existing FO's eligible for promotion.

To Join or Not to Join...
Take all comments for what they're worth, Bacon Slicer: from both fellow ppruners & from the company. As a type rated, time on type FO at STN you can expect to take home between £3,600 & £4,100 a month. That's the 
news. More good news, depending on your hours, etc. is that it took 11 months for me to get a command - I already had over 2700 hours total & 1,200 hours on type when I joined the company.
If you do decide to join just tell them that you won't accept half sector pay for any period, they will try that one on with you, remember that they are desparate for crew right now, likewise with basing: get them to put it into writing, you'll have no chance of the base that you want if you don't.
The training is good, they have some top class instructors but the company doesn't give a flying **** about you, as is the case with other low cost, & low class carriers.
In summary: a stable roster, very good flying experience, quick command if suitable & good take home, no respect for you as an individual, pressure on you continually whilst working, & no safety net.
The facts from a STN based Captain, all the best.

Being well aware of all the discussions and battles about Great MOL at Pprune... But what really frustrates me:
Is that what all these 'I-paid-barely-a-sh...-for-this-flight' dumb-bags just don't care about?
And what about our experienced fellow aviators?

N1 and ITT allow me to clarify. When I refer to 'no safety net' I am talking about a financial safety net; the pilot, as an individual who has a life to run outside of the company & who has bills to pay is fine at Ryanair so long as he/she keeps flying. If you are off work for any length of time you will be well & truly up the creek. Likewise there is no uniform, you pay for your own airside ID & parking permit, no water or food is supplied by the company. You will 'achieve' 900 hours per annum & 100 hours every 28 days. 
On the other hand, as I've said, they offer good training, a stable roster & the money in your pocket is good. If you perform well then you will get your command. But that's it, full stop. They offer you nothing more & at the end of a five day stint you will be fatigued.
Having worked for another low cost, really low class, operator I can tell you that Ryanair is a damn sight better than some others around. No argument, it really is, they have some top class people working there.
That's the way our short haul industry is, I'm afraid. We wrecked it for ourselves some time ago when MOL started to charge people for their ratings then pay them sweet FA for the first six months: the queue of Daddy's Little Rich Boys waiting to participate in this scam & fly a jet with 200 hours total time stretched around Dublin airport! We are now reaping the benefits.

There is no such thing as a senior FO in FR any more. Sallary is about £23k plus sector pay about £15-22k PA. You will need 3000+ hours including 1500 JAA 25 to apply for command plus preferably at least one winter with FR.

let's narrow this down a little-
could some FR LPL & EMA F/O's please tell me how much on average they get as cash in hand each month please. I need this info to base my decision on joining or not. I know all the other negative bits.

Essex boy I did not seek to upset you, I simply wanted to hear from anybody in FR exactly what you really get to take home as opposed to rumour and spin, that is all.
