Hi!

Does KAL have openings for FOs?

I have about 4000 total time, 3000 jet, and over 1000 jet captain (Falcon 20).

Some heavy and oceanic experience (all as FO).

A and C, all figures in USD$. You get a local per diem whilst on duty in Korea, it's paid in Korean Won,and equates to about USD$1000 per month.
atpcliff. KAL are only hiring type rated B747 F/O's at the moment.

As far as agencies go, does anyone know anything about GAP Aviation? They seem to be doing a lot of recruiting for the KAL contract. Based in Texas USA. Anyone have any experience with them?

Is it true that if a USA pilot goes with a USA contractor he could end up paying USA taxes that could otherwise be avoided with a non-USA contractor?

Just asking, cause I don't know...

Hi all.
I see kal is again hiring on all fleet and they consider 320 rated people for ccq but at own expences.
Does it mean any kind of bond or cash from my wallet?

thanks to whom will reply.

cheers.

Giggey,
KAL will only employ you if you are type rated on a type they operate. So if you are current on the A320, and apply for a position in KAL on the A330 they may interview you and if you are successful they may offer you a position on the A330 subject to you coming back with the A330 endorsed on your licence. It is then up to you to get a type rating on the A330.
After joining KAL you will be liable for a training bond of $15000 if you leave KAL within the first year, this to cover the expenses that they believe they have incurred. This sum is common to all fleets AFAIK.

First post on PPRUNE.....
Are there KAL contracts that have living arrangements in Korea, international schooling for children, etc. for 737NG types? Id' rather move there than commute. Also, what is the pay for a 747NG captain in US $? Thanks in advance.

Hi ya'll. I too am considering moving over to KAL. I have a 747 classic type (FAA) and 4300+ hours. I have a quote from PanAm Academy for training for the 744 type. I don't know anything about them though. Has anyone had dealings with them? Anyone have any recommendations?

I have done work for them as a Sim instructor on the 400 in MSP. The last two gentleman I trained were well prepared by the grd school and procedures instructors. One was a 200 captain and the other was off a TP... JW
