A320 Flaps locked

Hello folks,

i have thought about the following scenario: Approach and followed by a GA due to thunderstorm over the field. Flaps locked in the GA, maybe between 2 and 1. So how to handle the scenario properly because the ECAM Procedure does not really supply the approach preparation. Especially how to determine in which flap setting we actually are? By the status or setting the flaps lever to the expected setting?

Thanks!

SW

Check the flap position indicator on the ECAM upper display. The STATUS knows Your current flap position so You should find the same speed correction from Your QRH/Flysmart as the STATUS. In that scenario if You need to hold/divert before another approach You are stuck with Your current config so check the fuel penalty and if You can afford a diversion or give it another try when the TS is over.

Can you explain what is the problem? What is the thunderstorms connection? If flap jammed pull speed then do the ECAM followed by STATUS which will tell you the configuration to land. You prepare and conduct approach using Landing with slat/flap jam procedure.
