Interesting aircraft - what have you seen on your computer today?
You might not see your evasive IlYushins now mr treadigraph, what with their country partaking in an effective skyjacking yesterday...
In other new, 2 RAF Typhoons went over central London this morning at altitude on their way to agitate the other defensive aircrafts over Mont du Marsan in SW France. I didn't hear them come back, so perhaps they've landed down there for some luncheon.

RAFAIR 7001 was certainly audible just after 11am, though not visible through the inevitable rain cloud, heading back towards Coningsby (presumably) from another mission over southern France. Presume it was a pair of Typhoons. KC-135 following them across the channel, wonder if he provided a top up or of there was a flight of F-15s around as well?
Edit: Snap!

RAF A400M ZM416 (RRR4516) went overhead Saratoga Springs NY yesterday morning 09.12 EDT heading west.... what a lovely sound it made too. Appears to have originated in Bangor, ME, then landed at Wright-Patterson. I later saw it on FR24 overhead Tulsa OK, still heading west. Any idea where it was going, and why?
Is the annual 'Red Flag' exercise happening around this time of year ? Perhaps it's already been done earlier in the year so that means I've no idea :-) Those A400 do have a most distinctive sound don't they ?!
Another couple of Typhoons over London heading to France before 8am today. Reminds me a little of how VC-10's/1-11's/Tridents used to sound as they went off in the distance.

There be them Typhoons again heading south down Aquitaine way. Just passed me at nearly 40000 and 500kt. Claggy and couldn't hear them. Voyager just abeam Le Mans heading south to its hold, KC-135 ahead of it.
And another pair aloft from Coningsby...

I heard one at around 07.30am above the morning traffic noise, but when I looked couldn't see anything on the trackers. They seem very reliable in the times they go over.
Osprey in South Somerset about 1600 hrs. Showed up on Freedar, sort of. The aircraft code was lots of zeros. The initial flight paath was sawtooth in the horizontal plane but as it got nearer to Yeovilton it straightened out. and appeared to to do an approach/go around. Headed back towards Newbury about 1610hrs. I only had a phone with me and the attempted photo was embarrasing!

Heard the daily French raid as we were walking this morning. Seems to have replaced the AN-12 out of Brum!

Gotcha - will pop outside and see if I can spot them shortly.
Just saw an AW139 CP-8 with a Westland Helicopters callsign - Belgian AF?
Lager 235 coming the other way over the Channel at 22000', assume it has some F-15s with it?
Edit: couldn't see 'em, to the east of Biggin, but think I heard them over the traffic and my washing machine!
Edit2: Typhoons heading north through France, just passing Poitiers. (Valmy to Poitiers, Day ofr the Jackal).
Edit3: Sky is full of swifts suddenly - lovely. And Kenley's red K-6 or K-8 is thermaling overhead.
