29th Apr 2021, 21:17 goldox try https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ alongside the excellent FR24 they may have more details about the a/c type routing etc.
TFC.
TFC.
French Connection. ,many thanks that site is new to me and seems to cover a lot more than FR24
The info about big exercise in Scotland is interesting, I know they wont divulge reasons and rightly so but these sort of exercises seem , well as the fashion industry would say 'so WW2' . Obvioulsy they need to keep all the boys in girls current and thats a valid reason too but as a rehearsal , what-doing a Pearl Harbor on China?

I mostly check Plane finder and ADSB Exchange, and occasionally FR24. Most aircraft seem to show up now but some things are on one but not another and of course there are still aircraft which are not yet suitably equipped. Or perhaps not transmitting!

I'd be happy to find out a 'route' option within adsbexchange. So many times i click on an interesting aircraft and follow it back to it's origins by a convoluted method, it would so much easier to have a route function, such as FR24 or Planefinder etc.

Well, that' the first time I've heard an AN-12 in quite a while! EW-485TI, any educated guesses as to its departure airport?

12.00 Over West Germany now. See that's off to Minsk Belarus - On a side note , last week on ' urgent business ' I had a trip, middle of last week , that ended up Wednesday evening Lancashire to Berkshire by car. A route I am familiar with , but not normally at this time - weekdays .. Hitting Birmingham after 8pm I have never seen so many transport parcel lorries DHL , DPD , yodel Hermes etc etc. on the M6 M42 M5 etc. there were literally hundreds of trucks all moving around Birmingham Motorway network and with the lack of normal traffic everything @ speed limit ( don't use the toll - rip off IMO ) . Seem to hit this at the perfect time peak time for parcel hubs. I am sure ' some ' of these transport aircraft @ BHX has something to do with this peak of trucks IMO. Just thought I would share this
TFC

To my certain knowledge DPD has a large parcels hub in West Bromwich, and TNT a big warehouse in Atherstone. The others must also have major hubs in the West Midlands if, for no other reason, that it lies mid way between London and the Liverpool / Manchester conurbation. You must have hit the M6 at just the right (or was it the wrong?) time!!

I've never known the M6 and other motorways around the Brum conurbation be anything other than end to end lorries - one of the main reasons that any road trips I do to the NW are via the M11, A14, A1 and M62!

I thought I'd be quick and beat you to it Treaders as we appear to be a few miles apart. Lovely sound and showing a fair turn of speed as well at over 360kts. Surprised you didn't mention the USAF P3 Orion that came over a few nights ago around 0230hrs. It didn't quite sound Russian as it woke me from my slumbers but a few minutes searching FR24 revealed all. The other day after the An12 we had an An 26 going north but slightly too far east to be audible. What awaits us today?

Dang! I did hear a German one going into Fairford for RIAT a couple of years ago. Funny thing, I thought I'd heard the USN had retired all their P-3s a year or two back but there often seem to be several active over the US each time I take a squizz with the civvy clutter switched off!
