These are yer actual USN P-3Cs - one up now out of Jacksonville, 161121. I presume the P-8s are replacing them?
I remember the two NOAA (I think) examples at Miami Airport - think they were the ones that like to fly through hurricanes.

G-PTIX is Peter Teichman's "new" MkIX in Russian colours - PT879 I think. I believe it only flew for the first time in October after restoration.

Another historic aircraft airborne this afternoon and visible on ADSB etc (apart from Biggin Spitfires!) was The Fighter Collection's Corsair, G-FGID on sortie out of Duxford.

Treaders - surely you didn't miss this mornings An12 Donaster to somewhere in northern Italy, but can't recall where. A couple of miles west of their normal route but I would have thought still clearly audible for you - maybe around 0900.

Just had a Chinook blatter over at 2000' - not appearing on me favourite radar sites - there's another one chugging west along the Thames but he's done a bit of a Cook's tour around Sussex, Kent and Essex first...

Furrin Cirruses (Cirrii?) all the rage round here - Czech one a couple of days ago and an Italian example has just zotted over out of Blackbushe...
A lot of P-8s [and before that P-3s] used "tactical" mode S codes. Unfortunately a lot of the tracking sites have not realised this and attached a serial to a mode S code. Hence that is why you probably saw 161121 listed.

7T-WRP Beech 350 from the Algerian Air Force in Gatwick on the 16th May, calling KJD570 from and to DAAK. On the deck for just under 90 minutes in the rain. Likely to be the star military visitor here this year.
