Romanian AF C-27J just whizzed over out of Cardiff, noticed it going in last night. Pity it hasn't got Tynes, much nicer sounding engine than the buzz-saw AE 2100...

Something with a deeper drone just went over here with an audible turn... nothing on ADSB, would think a C-130H or similar. Not sure which way it was heading, maybe SW.

Probably one,(of two), Mildenhall based MC-130J’s which have routed out via Barkway! ….. “Exit 41/42”….weren’t showing on Adsb, but were visually reported leaving Mildenhall, with routing heard over r/t.

Sounds authentic, Mildenhall traffic often heads SW then turns SE somewhere around this latitude (Epsom then Seaford?) which would tie in with the turn I could hear. Cheers!
HHA Hunter T 72
Saw the Leeming two seat Hunter over the York area this afternoon.Wonderful!

Funny thing last night, the thin layer of stratus was doing a good job of muffling passing airliners while I walking back across the common. Hear the owls all right so it wasn't me! BA A319 off the Biggin hold was sort of audible overhead , TAP A319 downwind from Epsom not a peep
Not on the Computer spotted in real time Monday 18th December around Midday over Malvern, Worcestershire a Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit, turned over Malvern and headed South towards Fairford I would suspect. Not a long spot as it soon ducked into the cloud but got a good view.

A type I have never seen. How long has it/they been at Fairford?
PS JAVELINBOY I did originally intend the title to include actual sightings rather than just those noted on our computers, so any observations at all are most welcome! Even if they do provoke jealousy...

Hi….’Death 51’ was one of two B-2’s that operated a Global Power Mission, GPM, on 13 December from Whiteman AFB as ‘Death 31/32’. One part of that mission was to be refuelled by Mildenhall based KC-135’s, ‘Rake 71/72’ somewhere near Danger area 323, which is in the Wash area. Sometime during this 82-1066 developed a tech? fault and so diverted into Fairford….their designated alternate base in the UK. The 2’nd B-2 returned to Whiteman.
82-1066 returned to Whiteman on 18 Dec

Ok, thanks…..I was told it was the other way around…..that the B-2 couldn’t accept fuel from the tanker! Assume during “messaging” it all got mixed up somehow!
Thanks for the clarification.

Well, amidst the slightly reduced clutter on my ADSB tab is C-GZOX, an Air Nunavut Falcon 20, en route Shannon-Europe. It would be an unusual sight if wasn't 8/8ths clag... Reminds me of Neil Williams' story of ferrying an "ill" film star's wife to LA via Narsasuaq in a Trader Airways F20 over the Christmas period, except these guys have flown from Toronto, leaving at 0001z and quick stop at Gander before the trans Atlantic leg.
Merry Christmas all!
