Does anybody have an idea about the group exercise and Interview details?

any help appreciated!

flapless wings 28th Jun 2010 07:45

There is a rumour that CAE will not hold any more examinations as Indigo is done with their requirements of Trainee first Officers.If they hold it hen it would be purely for people with tonnes of money and a long stick:rolleyes:

Cheers

Happy Landings

Just got to know from a friend that the next round of assessment will be around the 19th/20th of July ... no clue if mails have been sent out though

FlyingManutd 30th Jun 2010 20:53

@FlaplessWings

CAE churning out type rated guys for Indigo is continuous process and will be going on till they get required number of pilots for there 10 Bus as per there current evaluation of there current sectors....dont know how many guys they have selected so far but its not end of there recruiting process...thats for sure:=

SuperflyTNT 1st Jul 2010 20:40

@bombayhues

You heard right. Even i have a friend who got sent an e-mail from CAE about the test being held on the 19th/20th of July. So I'm guessing whoever have not yet gotten an e-mail from CAE aren't invited to sit for the July exam. I hope this isn't the last session!

FlyingManutd 1st Jul 2010 21:06

Sending of emails takes 3-4 days....you might get email for the july session...:ok:
All the best.

bombayhues 1st Jul 2010 21:41

@Superfly

Out of all the people called a few don't end up paying the $375 for the exam in which case some more people are contacted for the exam. So there still lies hope.
As for this being the last session, from what I understand this process is an ongoing process and may become a lot less frequent and number of people getting selected may drop but then that doesn't mean the process on the whole will stop.
The best you can do is prepare well and make sure you nail the opportunity as and when it arrives. Good luck :ok:

@Flyingmanutd & Bombayhues -

Thank you guys! Will keep a look out for the e-mail, since I haven't got mine yet. Also, I hope the process is an on-going one. Though I have a feeling they might slow it down and also reduce the number of intakes. I believe they have about 15 - 20 pilots through the CAE process over the last few months and also not to forget, the bunch of back-door entries Indigo must be having. All we can do is, do our bit with studying and hope for the best. Thanks a lot again, wish you guys a bunch of luck too. Cheers

FlyingManutd 2nd Jul 2010 15:30

@Superfly TNT

They will continue the intake of 2-4 pilots per month till they get 24 pilots..They dont have any number pilot waiting from previous CAE selection process....Atleast 5 guys got through backdoor in ( aug-nov )2009 and all this were non type rated then came the rush of kingfisher Copilots :(( dont have correct number but 26 were absorbed and many of them have been upgraded to left seat )..I dont think anymore backdoor entry would be done because they are getting 375$ from so many pilots like us rest and I dont know about fairness of this CAE assessment:rolleyes: ....keep us informed if you get the email....

All the best.

bombayhues 7th Jul 2010 17:11

For all the assessments so far the center has been the Delhi Flying Club at Safdarjung Airport in Delhi. Really doubt that they will conduct it here in Bombay

CAE course

Hello Folks,

Anybody has the exact breakdown of the TR course in CAE Madrid? Is it the same as in CAE BLR? Long ELT + normal TR ...which if i am not mistaken amounts to around 8 FBS and 7 FFS sessions?

I read here in earlier posts that the cost is $31000 at CAE Madrid. Plus candidate has to pay for his/her own acco, food, travel and visa right...

Am just wondering out aloud why did Indigo strike this deal with CAE Madrid when we have a CAE at our own backyard at BLR! Atleast candidates need not be burdened with extras like Visa, travel and for sure acco and food would workout cheaper in BLR! Is CAE BLR not involved at all in the entire process? :rolleyes:

saurabhm_101 12th Jul 2010 09:08

I guess the problem about doing the TR in BLR is that the pilot will have to give the DGCA technical exam for the endorsement. We know how painful and unreliable the DGCA exams are hence conversion is a better option and quicker solution. In my opinion, definitely worth the extra money to stay away from DGCA exams.
