Once again you have jumped the gun ....
Why don't you take it easy. Relax and have patience. You will get to know in due course of time.

avalanche007 17th Jul 2010 12:27

yes they do ask but they are simple as they carry just 1 mark

avalanche007 17th Jul 2010 15:16

regulations: u can expect 15 questions, all are very easy and related to indian car and aircraft rules 1937 same like the one we get in air reg paper of dgca

meteorology: hardly 2 to 5 questions and that too general met and nothing related to indian climatology. expect more from metar, taf etc etc

technical: around 15 to 20 questions again simple and none from jet engines or also piston engines. just basic tech stuff which we have learn while flying

navigation: this is the subject from which maximum questions were bombarded from mainly from radio aids and u can expect problems from cp and pnr and also scales. but they were of simpler level as each carried 1 mark

crm and human factors: again vast questions were from this subject. u shud refer oxford atpl books for this subject

thats it
so u can see max questions were from nav, crm and human factors

total there were 100 questions 1 mark each, time 2 hours

racingpsycho 20th Jul 2010 14:34

He Guys,

This is my first post on pprune..... im glad to say i cleared my exam today with CAE-Indigo..

Earlier post regarding the question patter really did help...Thanks guys..

ok let me be of some use.... todays paper consisted of 15-20 questions of regulation....
very tricky options but familaiar questions.... like...rt failure signals, transition layer, trans.altitude,
20 questions on human factors and crm, atleat 5 about EYES,like cornea.,, blind spots ,and disorientation.... and CRM stuff i cant remember....and u cant remember those....very complicated.... its just a matter of little thinking and LUCK!!

one cp question and 10 almost very straight nav questions...like 1nm is equa to how many feet..... 90 KMPH is equal to how many kts..

So guys its pretty general except crm and human factors....can be nailed if u refer oxford atpl books...

And all i want to say Is " BE READY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY THAN WAITING FOR IT"
good luck

Hi Guys,

Can anyone who underwent the English proficiency and CASS test with CAE shed some light on the whole process....I have been called for the said assessment on the 3rd week of this month..... UR help is really appreciated....

Cheers !!

avalanche007 12th Aug 2010 15:49

@racing pycho:

the english test is an online test which you need to give on their laptop itself
it consists of 2 parts
first is the grammar test which has 2 stages: beginner and expert

then the second page consists of speech test
you will be given headset connected to their laptop and you just need to repeat the sentences which they say
but you should be loud and clear

secondly regarding the cass test you will be getting a soft copy via email about all the details and examples of it
its a test to check your multi tasking and also how you behave during stress
in it you will be answering some questions on side screen and at the same time flying an aeroplane

and then in end you need to judge yourself and explain where you go wrong

well once you have passed the written, you will definitely go to the interview stage

so stay calm and give your best shot

racingpsycho 12th Aug 2010 16:40

@avanlanche007

Thank u so much buddy ! did u get through all these stages and the interview?

And abt the grammar , do i need to go bck to the schooling stuff?

Thanks and cheers !

avalanche007 12th Aug 2010 16:54

well grammar will be very easy
no need to get back to school books

and i was rejected in interview

deltamikebravo 12th Aug 2010 17:02
