And about time too....

At last I agree with SIA! Get rid of those contract guys who were so smug on their expat scales and allowances. Looks like its at last happening, and not before time. Those expat captains were so flowing with their enthusiasm for Singapore, their British club, their private condos. As I was often told by the expats, you guys (ie us sorry b'tards on local terms) are so fortunate, if I was a young guy like you, I'd be so happy.

Yeah, right, those expats with their two faced talk, on the flight deck your best buddy, but behind your back, rooting you to the locals, to let it be know that this Capt Ang Moh is really a sycophantic brown noser, hated his own kind and loved yellow fever down at club Pink flamingo. Oh yes, I even had one guy tell me how he blamed the current crop of local termed expats ruining it for his flying students in the UK, as SIA would not give them the chance. What baloney, infact I wonder how these same guys are behaving, now the gravy train is finally beginning to get sticky.

Applying to greener pastures are we now, or just too plain old from a life of unwavering commitment to SIA? How hollow and cheated you guys must feel now, and how daft and gutless you look to us outsiders.I wonder how many of those guys laid off were in ALPA'S? I guess none, as you were too horty torty to wanna be seen to be slightly against them management on the 4th floor, no way boss, not me Capt Koh.Well I think we can safely say that SIA dont give a flying fu(k to you white guys and your two faced talk.We all know you think you are superior to the locals, laughing about their inabilities with your buddies over a beer and BBQ down at Bayshore. But they, das management, know this and now marketing have given them the green light that expate dont keep SIA flying anymore.... the writing for you guys is on the wall....the lavatory wall.

What a little charmer you are, sniffer! Let me guess - things haven't gone your way at some stage and you've been wrongfully bypassed by some expat for a training position you felt was rightfully yours, despite your lousy scores. I've met the likes of yourself in Singapore and, thankfully, I can say you are not representative of the locals in general who on the whole are quite gracious.

You truly are a bigot and there is no excusing an attitude like yours, although it's been around for centuries. People like you start wars, then run from them.

With the state of SQ at present, your rantings are somewhat akin to someone gloating over being left with the cesspit whilst those with any sense flee the scene. Good luck!

sia sniffer
thank goodness you are not in CAL. I am an expat in CAL and let me say this. Your attitude shows one of a disturbed metally person. Racism of expats to locals has dropped dramatically over the past years.

What I do notice is a rise in the racism towards expats from evil little people like you. I do not believe you hold the thoughts for the majority of locals at SAL and therefore you are a minority.

Any racist be it white or asian should be removed completly from flying an aircraft with 400 people behind them.

It is a disastrous behavour for CRM. We have some racists in CAL on both sides, and they are being "dealt" with as we speak or have already been removed.

Hopefully SAL may do the same. To ALL the pilots in SAL good luck in the hard times.

Angry

Whale oil beef hooked.

Is sia sniffer the real SIA???, or is this the wind up of the year?

I was an expat with SIA for 10 years, trained or had a hand in training over 400 cadets in 5 yrs on the 31, 30 or so S/Os on the 310, so my vitriolic friend,

I DID MY BIT PROBABLY TO KEEP YOU IN A JOB,

as without some of that effort if you are a Capt , you would not have some of your F/Os, or if you are an F/O, me and many of my compatriates would have greatly contributed to the process.

Racism is a part of Singapore as a whole, we accepted it, lived within its boundaries and as you accuse did mention a few to management who respectfully Bloddy well deserved worse than they got on many occasions.

You and your ilk are in the ranks, in VERY small numbers, usually sulking around giving advice you feel you can as to how it "should" be done and then in some classic cases in my own cockpits, stuff it up grandly when given a go on your own.

Sia and many companies CANNOT EVER be totally "local", the numbers are not there.
Try, if you are game, to take your comments above to Len McCully's office, that is a test of your apparent "manhood" you need to prove you are a man of substance. I suggest you have alternative employment in mind, because that man will deal with you situation in a very direct manner.

I have not always agreed with SIA, or many of my other employers, but in general was treated suitably, firmly and left as you say, a little too old at 59 a half to be so called upgraded to 777 or other such grander?? machinery.

To any who are out there,SIA is not at the moment a fun place with terminations, retrenchments, pay cuts et all, it is under "orders" that are way above my pay grade, its future in the balance, with the assistance of the sniffer, GOD HELP IT, because no one else will if thats the way

To those who may have got the DCM, there is a life after whereever we are, we were somwhere else before SIA, we are on the journey of life to the next place.

Sniffer, UP YOURS Mate, hope you get a real life experience as well.

Thumbs up The One That Ran Away!!!

We shouldn't let ourselves be fooled by SIA Sniffer, read all his past posts, one hit and he is on his way! Possibly one of the many who enjoyed the full training and then did a runner! Would that be you SIA Sniffer, did you complete your training or did you run away from your bond? Very obvious that Sniffer is still in the kindergarten of avaition, hopefully, one day, he will grow up. Not sure where you are right now Sniffer, but, as sure as God made little eggs, you will one day live to eat your words!

SIA SNIFFER,

Shame on you. Your collegues have passed judgment; it is time you went your sad way. For most of us in SIA and other airlines we fly with all types and enjoy the experience. The likes of you have no palce in a flight deck of any sort.

greybeard, you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick, in fact you have just proved my point. Your message basically says, I worked hard for SIA and "BLOODY" deserved more than I got. I personally dont give a flying fu(k if you trained at top gun, your attitude was, im a bloody expat, and you as my trainee should be bloody grateful, cos SIA gave you a job, and so now you have to take the ****.
Not true my humbled friend. I didnt take it, and I told them, Das management what I thought. Then I voted with my feet.
You and Capt "Broomhead" and the likes seem to be a bit bitter about the reality of their unwavering loyality to SIA over the years(obviously you didnt play golf with freddie) . They surely cant do this after 14 years of my unctious behaviour, not me boss, im a real brown noser, and I love Singaporeans. Why me, Why me? The denial would be sad were it not so pathetic. Get a life, retire in grace, and stop thinking that you are so bloody high and almighty cos you were a "suc'.
Hey, are you taking any responsibility for the quality skippers the local system churns out these days? Bet you would have imparted your superior knowledge of low weather ops to a certain S/O Foong? Yes he was on the 310.
In your retirement, try reading "Brave New World" a chilling warning to the view of unwavering conformity of which you obviously subscribed to during your time at Stalag SQ.

I'm sorry to jump in, but I can't help myself. I am an outsider looking in. I must ask sniffer, what is your flight time? What is your position and age? I am trying to understand where you are coming from. Just give us some background so we can at least try to understand your state of mind.
Thank you in advance sniffer
