Hi guys/gals,
Can anybody inbox me with an email address that I can send my application to? Somebody in HR or recruiting maybe. I have tried several times with the address given on PCC and don't even get a reply.
I meet all their current requirements for non type rated FO's and I'm looking for a break on jet.
I have 1800TT and 1400 medium turboprop.
Cheers,
Nick.

Haha, I have definitely been reading this thread, and I understand why you say that. However I'm not willing to give up just yet, I will keep on bugging them until I get a response. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Don't give up , many expats have got in with less experience than you. It is unorganized and you'll want to give up and go home on some days but it's a stepping stone. Good luck on your search

The training is substandard, at best. Most countries will not recognize a CAAP pilot license due to lack of standards. Thinking a pilot can go to the Philippines for "experience" then leave there for a better job is delusional.
And for the expat experience by going there? Not worth it.

Mmm...which countries don't accept the CAAP license ? I know that CAAP is a joke and has no standards at all but I was unaware that CAAP licenses were not accepted for conversion in contracting ICAO states.
As far as I know EK, QR and the carrier that can't be mentioned all accept it.
Everyone do what you want! If you have no better options, 5j would be apt , you are on your own most of the time with no assistance from the company but at the end of the day it's a job , they pay on time and youre getting those hours to the number you have in your head before its time to leave.

Come to europe and you ll see what they accept. They will laught at you if you just want to do the conversions of ME-IR and CPL. Do the 14 exams first and then, we can talk about conversions.

@ROK the EASA conversion exams are required for all foreign licenses. I have 4000 hours 2000 jet and a Canadian atpl , I'll still be required to write most of the papers and do sim checks on all my types!

As far as those hours, your future employer will see where you gained that "experience" and thus another black mark on the resume.

hi Guys,
Thats the actual situation with 5J, company hired few expat, they will hold a licence validation, which is good for 6 month....but black crow on this point is right locals doesnt like that someone from outside get a better condition than them.
As per now things have changed compared to what Black is saying...most of the management position are filled with expats experienced in other major airline and they are improving the working conditions...
CAAP licence is accepted almost everywhere in asia as many are flying now for HK airlines dragon qatar and ethiad just to mention something....
Filippino are relaxed so expect that everything takes time to be completed as everything is on your own...
pay is on tyme...of course is not the golden mine but is good to get experience....
not sure how many expat they will hire more..but dont expect to stay more thsn 6 months as the local authority is blocking any conversion in order to protect locals....
thats the actual.....20 july 2016.
have a good one.

Gogga1 I have tried with Comair, no luck so far. I am looking to get out of SA, not because I don't like the country, but because those companies you mentioned are the only options for us pale males unfortunately and what they pay just does not make sense to me in the long term.
I have no problem earning less than I do now, so long as it pays off down the road. From reading statistics Airbus is the way to go. They have more orders than Boeing, and at the end of the day that equals more options.
I'm not going to pay for a rating, I have worked my way up fair and square, so I'm looking to go anywhere that are taking non rated 320 drivers. CP would be a great stepping stone, as for dealing with the corruption etc over there, I have spent the last 5 years working on contract in Africa and the Middle East. It won't be a problem.

Yes on that I cannot discuss far from being a proper hr team!
As usually now recruiting of foreigner is closed and locals are complaining about the hiring of expats!
