Fareez you really are in coocooland for goodness sake wake up and smell the coffee Malaysia has been raped and pillaged by umno and their cronies for over 50 years they have made themselves super rich infact the only worldclass standard they have ever been able to achieve, time to take the country back to the people, we are not here for their convenience they ( the goverment ) work for us. Let me make this real clear it not about the races in malaysia before anyone jumps on this bandwagon and bring the race issue, everyone has lost out since Kutty took power in 83, just look what he did to sabah nothing short of treason, putting our national security at risk.
I have never been political but we all have our limits infact these sentiments are shared by most of the people i know ( all races ) and they all say the same thing " Time for a change "
Sorry for going off in a tangent, but in malaysia everything is somehow connected to the goverment especially aviation

maybe you have a point 320busdriver but i really hate when people say "that why we need bersih " in every issue.
what so great about bersih.?
seriously i think peoples who support bersih is a dumb f*ck when they said election commision of malaysia is control by umno when the opposition can win at 4 states at past GE.
i prefer to see my multiracial country can live in harmony when bn rules rather than the opposition who loves to make a street protest every month without a concrete points.

MAKE NO MISTAKE, bn only cares for the people when the election is coming up. The rest of the time you on your own boys, MACC please tell the folks in malaysia what would it take to investigate mahathir and his cronies like the chief minister of sarawak ( reportely one of the richest man on the planet ) blatant abuse of position and power for ones own gain, what`s incredible is everyone in malaysia knows except the macc, its even in the newspaper about how much his son puts on his credit card for goodness sake and still NO ACTION
Great article fairpilot i say mahathir is way way richer than that, won`t be surprised if the actual is nearer 100bil US, imagine how many, hospitals with all the lastest lifesaving equipment, toll free roads and schools with all the mod cons 100bil will buy and don`t forget his cronies all have their share and still do, some estimates put the net flight of capital out of malaysia at 1 trillion US

1 trillion = 1 million x 1 million or 1 billion x 1000

Do you guys now get the picture

Its interesting how that this company..a company that has not even have a single plane, flights, Flight Crew, proper office or a website that sells flights..nothing. But has generated so much political comments, .. imagine there was two new airline company starting up.. but its fun read.. so much talking and hot air... but still nothing..very Malaysian. Come on its guys let face it... its another money laundering concept and free flights for Datuks etc etc.

After this political slapping of each other in the scrotum .. it would be turn of the pilots in a 2014 or 2015, to see who has the biggest testicles in the company to be the first to fly Malindo's B787. First pilots (tiger astronaut) in Malaysia to fly B787 good luck and good hunting pilots BUT watch your backs..

Malaysia truly Asia... bolehhhhhhhhhhhh

Yawwnnnn.....we shall see WHEN or IF Malindo takes off. Honestly, I have my doubts but my heart goes out to the young aspiring pilots who has spent a fortune in obtaining their flying licences and are very hopeful. For you guys sake though I really hope Malindo takes off. Like what Jetjockey said, no flights, no routes but lots of hot air being blown. I hope I am wrong for the sake of these hopefuls.

I love to see u guys with all your principles about Bersih and stuff..
And somehow relate Malindo into the show. PM is no saint no doubt about it. But I know first-handed that when Malindo wants to start, he put the issue of jobless pilot into Pak Rusdi's attention from the very beginning. Believe it or not, hiring as much as possible graduated pilot registered in DCA database is actually one of Gov terms to Lion. I couldn't care less about the money involve, but from my unemployed situation, I would say Thank You PM. And if u guys truly want to make a stand against Malindo (due to corruption involve that u truly believe without hard proof), just reject the offer letter thats all. Peace

Malindo is coming in VERY STRONG. Coming February, a proving flight from KUL to BKI. 1st flight in KUL-BKI frequency 5x a day. Follow by KUL-KCH.

Every month 2 a/c entering service. KUL as a transit point to many ASEAN countries with paxs fr Indonesia. Since LION AIR cannot operate fr Indonesia to other countries, they're using KUL.

Spoke to someone in CAE last month and she advised against joining Malindo as tech crew. Seems like their crew selection and training is "dodgy"...

My dear fellow, have you realised, the fact that you're unemployed is because this goverment let their cronies open all those training schools to take your money! Everyone in the aviation sector knew there's no way the airlines could absorb all those pilots! Even with AA, ordering all those planes, we knew that Tony never was going to base 100++ buses in malaysia. Therefore never employing all those pilots being trained out there. Sorry, but you got conned by your very own dear leaders who were supposed to be fighthing for your rights!

This has been an interesting read thus far. But in my opinion most of the comments here are from unemployed wet between the ear 200 hour kids.

Furthermore to pay for the pilots course you would need something like Rm 200,000. So I guess it is wet between the ear "Rich Kids" As based on the average income of Rm 2,000 per month the average Malaysian could never afford to pay for his child to get a pilots license.

Now what all you young people cannot see is that you are being ripped off big time. You will have to pay to fly, pay to upgrade, pay for your uniforms, pay for your meals and perhaps even pay to take a crap in the aircraft toilet.

At the current time all of you are in a very unique situation. And that is that there is a huge shortage of pilots in Indonesia and other ASEAN countries. Which means that you now have an opportunity to squeeze Malindo and Air Asia for better terms and conditions. Just do the bloody math. Over 600 aircraft on order at say 5 sets. These fat cat airline owners are growing beyond supply and simple economics are based on supply and demand. But you di**heads are too blind to see that. You rather bicker about all the bulls**t rather that go to the specifics. Which is your long term salary and work conditions. You are all so blinded looking at the short term. Ie. Backstabbing and worming your way to get a job selling your asses you have missed the big picture. And the Airlines are just loving it laughing at your chaotic unorganised desire to fly.

Wake up and smell the roses. You will look back in time and regret that when you had the opportunity to create a stable and industry standard pay scale and conditions you all were too busy scrambling on each others backs to get a job that pays you peanuts and conditions that never lets you spend time with your families.

Be careful what you wish for!!

Wooblah.

How many Dutch cadets still fly for Lion Air? What is the typical contract length for those cadets on the 900ERs?

Probably great experience for them even though they pay through the nose to do it (both 737NG experience and interesting culture/destinations). Sounds like a symbiotic relationship because Indonesia needed the pilots too...
