This has been an interesting read thus far. But in my opinion most of the comments here are from unemployed wet between the ear 200 hour kids.

Furthermore to pay for the pilots course you would need something like Rm 200,000. So I guess it is wet between the ear "Rich Kids" As based on the average income of Rm 2,000 per month the average Malaysian could never afford to pay for his child to get a pilots license.

Now what all you young people cannot see is that you are being ripped off big time. You will have to pay to fly, pay to upgrade, pay for your uniforms, pay for your meals and perhaps even pay to take a crap in the aircraft toilet.

At the current time all of you are in a very unique situation. And that is that there is a huge shortage of pilots in Indonesia and other ASEAN countries. Which means that you now have an opportunity to squeeze Malindo and Air Asia for better terms and conditions. Just do the bloody math. Over 600 aircraft on order at say 5 sets. These fat cat airline owners are growing beyond supply and simple economics are based on supply and demand. But you di**heads are too blind to see that. You rather bicker about all the bulls**t rather that go to the specifics. Which is your long term salary and work conditions. You are all so blinded looking at the short term. Ie. Backstabbing and worming your way to get a job selling your asses you have missed the big picture. And the Airlines are just loving it laughing at your chaotic unorganised desire to fly.

Wake up and smell the roses. You will look back in time and regret that when you had the opportunity to create a stable and industry standard pay scale and conditions you all were too busy scrambling on each others backs to get a job that pays you peanuts and conditions that never lets you spend time with your families.

Be careful what you wish for!!

Wooblah.
