Amazing. I just got to know eleven of my friends (who prepared very well) haven't cleared the SpiceJet written exam. What's going on? We all know one needs to have someone from the political party DMK/Congress or a top guy from Sun Network to have an edge over the regular chaps.

But was this really a sham? I mean, eleven of my friends. I assume there will be 300 more (considering 350+ gave the exam) who haven't got through. What a shame.

Here is the email I got from my friend -

Dear Candidate,

This is with reference to the CPL Written Entrance Examination conducted by SpiceJet on 31st Jan-2012. We regret to inform you that you have not passed the written examination.

Best Regards

My friends, we all here are facing a problem!!! There should be a way to tackle it , I think we too should request spice to conduct reexamination, The same thing what type rated guys did..... Again remember it can only happen if all of us together work (as we all see right now spicejet is the only open window for us)... We should think how to approach them....

reexamination

My friend i also got a regret letter.so yes i am upset.but we have to look at the reasons y the type rated guys got a chance at reexam.they paid 1.5 lakhs for ground training.they where first given classes and where told to only study certain topics for the final exam and the first exam which was the actual exam nothing from the topics came and out of 150 only 4 cleared.so they kept that 4 ppl selected and did a re exam for the rest for more candidates selection.in our case nothing was promised no portion .we where only told they will stick to cpl and they did.we all know for sure that all the 390 ppl who appeared must have got 70% up and almost 250-300 80% and 100 ppl 90%-95%. so we cant get hold or ask for re-exam as they have enough candidates for interview round.now is it fare no it is not fare but we cant completly take the credit from ppl who passed as there are atleast 20ppl who cleared on merit and rest 80 ofcourse contacts.now you me cant fight file RTI as its private company and wont reviel anything. we have to wait and watch and keep waiting and keep waiting as thats written in our destiny.

Folks,

the exam was considerably easy and i was pretty confident. neither did I manage to clear it. absolute BS. i am ready to stage a protest right in front of their office in gurgaon and find out what exactly is going on. first things first - to stop draining money from candidates just for a written exam, provide equal opportunity. alright we were not forced to write the exam. But hey, there can be a screening process and then allot exam slots for a few hundred candidates. maybe they don't need too many pilots, but this is a scam on a mass-scale !!! greedy bunch of that runs a company and provides jobs in the form of pure nepotism...i am giving a strong reply to mahantesh pyati....that's it !!!!!! some of you might not want to ruin your chances....but with spicejet, what are the odds.

robin - I feel for you man. Your frustration defines it all. I'm sure hundreds who got the reject letter feel the same as you do. I agree the only solution to this is to protest in some form or the other. My friends plan to lodge a written complaint to the concerned authorities. Lets see where this goes. But let me remind you - there will never be an end to nepotism (this is India). The only problem you can get rid of is the exorbitant fee charged for this written exam which, according to sources, were below standards and not conducted in an orderly fashion.

Has anyone on this forum cleared the test? None of my friends cleared it and ofcourse neither did I.. Anyon know how many actually got selected. Another 25K gone down the drain. If this is a sham then we must all protest it, I mean we arent getting any breaks so might as well protest being blatently exploited. We have nothing more to lose.

Guys, I have been shortlisted for the interview n believe me, I don't have any approach and I am very surprised that how I got through. Ofcourse exam was very easy n I did the exam well. But fortunately, above my expectations, spicejet(the most corrupt company) has shortlisted me without any bribe or approach.

Angel Cleared!!!

Hi Friend's

I also cleared...without any jack.
Cause if i had known somebody i woudnt have waited for 4 long years to use his/her approach. It's been 4 years since i got my licence and in these four years i have only got a call from jet(which i cleared..and still waiting for the interview call) and luckily spicejet this time...have been trying since march 2011...

arranging the hefty examination fee for the spicejet exam was another big hurdle for me...it was all i had...but i had no other choice..but i promised myself that i won"t let it go waste..i really really worked very hard..and i think luck also showered it's mercy over me.

Anyways the point i want to make is that there might be people who have strong influence in there..and lot of money to throw here and there...but genuine people are also being recruited...don't lose hope..just keep the hard work going on..!!!
Gud luck everybody...wish me the same for further rounds

To all the cpl holders on here who haven't cleared the exam,

I can understand the disappointment and anguish each of you are going through. I must admit that I haven't written the exam myself, because I wasn't called in the first place. I have applied to spice 4 times thus far, and never got a call from them. I have been very disappointed about this, but today I am relieved because I too would have gone ahead, paid 25k and probably have flunked the exam too. On that note, I am not posting this for "myself", but for "all of us" and what "I think we should too". Clearly this scam has been going on way too long now, and it is my opinion that none of us has raised this issue to either the media or spice's higher authorities, out of fear of our own careers at stake. But the fear has to stop NOW, we can no longer afford to sit on our buttocks and let them take undue advantage of us.

Here's what I think we should do:

All of us, as many as possible (the more the better), need to write to Mr. Arnab Goswami of Times Now, who very effectively and efficiently covers the issue on his show. I am prepared to write to him myself, but 1,2, 10 or 20 people writing to him might not make a difference, and might easily be overturned and ignored. We need atleast 50+ cpl holders writing to him on the exact same issue, only then will it be given important notice. He very tactfully and cleverly handled the news about spice a few months ago on the "Garima Passi - fake pilot case" by even calling spice's CEO Mr. Neil Mills on the show and firing questions at him, which is why this is my best bet.

I know some of you might be skeptical of my idea for various reasons, but if WE can successfully pull this off, there's a good chance that spice might not only cancel their 25k fee for all their future exams, but also start calling more candidates for each attempt, hence being fair to all of us. Like I said earlier, the nonsense has to stop, and now is the time. There has to be a start to our protest and it's always better late than never. I personally don't think that standing outside their head office in gurgaon and staging is protest is going to do any good, they're probably going to shoo us all away, and it would be a total waste going all the way there, but that's just my opinion.

To all the guys on the forum reading this, please come forward and respond to this post of mine. If you want to accept my suggestion and go ahead with it, then that's great, otherwise we'll have to think of something else. But please respond, even if you have to turn down my suggestions then feel free to, but lack of responses would truly disappoint me. I know some of you might say "You haven't written the exam yourself so it's easy for you to comment", but like I said earlier, I am not doing this for "me", I am doing this for "us".

Looking forward to your responses, and people reading this can spread the word to other friend cpl holders of theirs (who are not on the forum), then that would be even better.

Each soul who wrote the SJ examination was aware of the biased examination procedures followed there and the level of contacts one needs to pull up just to get the call for writing the exams. So now isn't the time anyone should be complaining.

But yes, now is really the time each one on the forum who wants to stand against the utter nonsense going around should take some serious initiatives. TIMES NOW is a good way to start with things. Media will not only cover the entire episode well but the related aviation authorities will also be questioned for the same including DGCA. And in that case, one things will lead to another. It is just the speculation for time being but I am very positive myself about all of it.I will send in the mail latest by this weekend. Hope this is the ray of hope after darkness prevailing so far.

TO Aroumika.
I really dont understand one thing. Take any airlines except Air India. To fill up any position whether it is in commercial department, engineering Department, reservation and ticketing department, even flight operation department. Recruitment is done for free. Only the trainee co pilot position is one position where you have to pay to get a job. Fair if we are paying nominal recruitment fees, but it is completely unacceptable to pay such a huge amount. On top of that even small charter companies are publishing adds in newspaper they require co pilot and charging bloody 10k amount for written that to for an aircraft like cessna grand caravan. How many people are here to make money out of jobless cpl holders. I know after all its old commerce rule of demand and supply but there should be limit.
Some thing should be done to stop this and I think this should be brought to media attention.
