jet lite
I'm waiting for joining date to the Jet Airways as a B737 f/o.
I heard that the Jet Airways will operate Jet Lite as a domestic operator.(Air Sahara also will change name into Jet Lite.)
So, I wonder... is there any possiblity that Jet Airways arrange B737 crew into Jet Lite.
Good flight

minimum requirements
I think that you just need 1000h TT to apply via a Randhem contract.
If you apply directly through Jet Airways website it seems that you must be full ATPL to apply but I've never seen that you need the rating.
Don't hesitate saviboy, send your resume through Randhem

Jetlite
Jetlite will be its own operation. It does not make fiscal sense for Jet Airways to comingle the two. If you are going to fly for Jet/Jetlite, that is where you will stay.

Jet Airways Terms and Conditions
Having just been for the interview at Randhem for an FO job with Jet Airways, I can now give the REAL facts about the job.
1) Pay is $4400 per month, you will have to pay upto 33% local tax, therefore take home pay will approx. $3000.
2) Rosters are not decided, however people will not be working 4 weeks on and 1 week off etc, it will be a standard roster. You can expect to work approx 100 hours per month, the maximum allowed in India is 125 hours per month. So don't expect to be getting home.
3) There is no flight pay or overtime rate.
4) The 3 year contract will not be renewed and you will not become a captain.
5) You have to deposit 5000 euros which is only refundable if you complete the full 3 year contract. If you don't complete your full 3 years you will also be charged for your type rating training, this amount decreases proportionally throughout the 36 months.
6) You will have to give 6 months should you decide to leave.
7) Type rating training is completed in Miami which should take 2 to 3 weeks, then Line training is completed with SKY EUROPE in Slovakia and this should take 2 to 3 weeks. You have to pay for your own accomodation etc while on Line Training.
There is alot to think about for anyone thinking of going down this route.

I don't undersand anything about the roster. Initially and before they've change their faq on their web site, Randhem said 6on 7off. It's true to say that they seem to don't guarantee it anymore. But a Jet Airway pilot told me he was flying on B737 with a 6on 7off roster. Maybe it could be different for those who follow the Randhem program.
Any help??

What are the rules for monthly rosters/schedules at JetAirways? Do you get to bid? request days off? Is it seniority based, split up evenly or take what you get?
I would love to be able a sample of a monthly sched if anyone can send it to me. Totally confidential!

Has anyone been recruited through Jet in Jan or Feb this yr?
I have attended the sim screening in Feb and signed the contract with Jet which started to be valid from 15th of April... but still, I'm siting back home and waiting for my security clearance
I don't have a clue what is my status!?! What should I expect???

The Jet enigma
Guys the airline is great except for HR (inhuman resources). The HR guys suck and have no clue about handling Pilot issues. Bunch of inexperienced good-for-nothings. No standard procdeures or contracts. The flight ops division is run by bloody spineless blokes. Too many VP's. Standing joke is to ask who's the current Vp for the day. If anything can be done the hardest way thats the way it will go. good luck.
Those of u going for the screening on the 737 expect the following checks on the sim:
1. cockpit preps
2.reject t/o
3.all engine VOR app/GA
4. Engine fire on G/a.
5. Radar vectors for engine out ILS appch and land
6. Evacuation.
