The jet airways team visited IGRUA and NFTI few months ago. They were impressed by the quality of flying training they provide and of-course the ground training.......unlike in US Philippines and blah blah !!! where they start their flying just 2-3 days after getting admission, having no idea about the A B C of Aviation:=........hence this might be the reason why Jet airways invited NFTI and IGRUA cadets :ok:...Indirectly the airline needs best pilots which only these two institutes can provide :)

Multi Hours

Does anyone know where can we the cheapest of the Multi hours??? In India its a huge Rs 35,000 per hour. In US its roughly Rs 12,000 per hour but the flight ticket itself is Rs 50,000.
Need to get my multi IR renewed since I don't have single engine CPL.:(:(:(

ATR-FO

Dear All,
I am a british citizen ATR type rated pilot from atr flight training centre. I have logged about 120 hrs. my wife is an indian. can anyone suggest me how i can work in india and what are the possibilities. thanks. :O

koolchaos3188 19th Jan 2011 07:16

@planeboy 777-do you really think the standards are really good in those two schools and not in USA(the country which is baap of all the nations by all means) number in aviation, number 1 in almost everything...
and you think there standards are poorer than us...
think again man

flyygirl 19th Jan 2011 07:27

@kool,not to defend 777 and not to by any means put down the standards of igrua and alike u and me have trained at us and cannot say anything about the best school of our nation.
but it is certain and logical that going in a ground training for a certain period is better than geting us tsa cleared and taking private ground school and flying for your solo side by!:=
yes usa does have unmatched standards but so can be the case of highly intelligent cadets and well trained and experienced staff of igrua:ok::ok:
:O

sid89 19th Jan 2011 08:07

come back to jet

let us all come back to jet exam and leave the debate of who is the best aside

yes igrua is one of the best institutes for flying institute

but "one of the best" there r many other good school to and even better ,the world is huge, they r students which have come from usa uk and aus who have trained in international airports which in india is not at all possible so every place has its own advantage and its rude to say that a student for other place is not good in the aug batch of jet not all selected was from igrua or nfti, and u cant say the guys selected r not good, they r the best as per jetairways selection program

jet did no invited igrua student igrua management went to jetairways because of ai delaying campus selection and the student complained this to rahul gandhi who came there to visit his area.so first jet agreed but later were told to apply in gen and no special preference will be given to any flying school weather igrua of nfti or KLM FLIGHT ACADEMY

so let us come bace to jet exam any one knows the date i called jet office when the admit letters out they said to be accepted in jan end

IGRUA and RGNFTI..........

Good one Planeboy 777:ok:

@koolchaos3188

Do you seriously think you FAA/phillipenes etc ppl are any match to IGRUA or RGNFTI cadets. you take 6 months to copmplete your entire CPL, whereas we spend the same time in ground school, studying from basics to ATPL level. and double this time in flight school. I have seen FAA/Phillipenes pilots who do not know the full form of AIP and CAR. FAA people might know how to fly an aircraft but IGRUA/NFTI cadets know how an aircraft flies. You seriously think you can learn all practical and theoretical aspects of flying in just 6 months in some cheap flying club in florida wearing a bermuda and a t-shirt. Think Again boy........and your high standards definitely show in your DGCA conversion results, takes most of u guys a year to clear 2 exams:ugh:, where as IGRUANS and NFTI cadets clear 6 exams and RT in max 2-3 sessions:ok:.

FlyByWire320 19th Jan 2011 08:15

regarding jet exam dates

@ sid89

Exam dates are 27th feb as per jet airways HR.

koolchaos3188 19th Jan 2011 08:34

@flybywire - dude let's not fight about who is better and who is not. I didn't say IGRUA has poor standards, I just mentioned its wrong to think only IGRUA has good standards and USA doesn't. And I never flew in florida, and behaved professionally during flight and ground sessions. And FYI I cleared all three papers in single attempt. and anyways your attitude shows your so naive to think USA doesn't have any standards...
If you think this country has such great standards why haven't we perfected a bloody ENGINE...
A company like Indian Oil(Ranks 125 in Fortune 500) has to get all its Engine's from rolls royce and GE, if we have such great standards why don't we build here and buy those and save on our forex.
Our country is still considered a third world nation. So there is a long way to go to match upto the standards of USA, Canada, UK, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Israel, Australia.
So instead of telling my that USA or any other country doesn't have any standards, we should be concerned on how to improve our nation.
We should be bothered for this nation and not condemn others.

FlyByWire320 19th Jan 2011 08:39

@koolchaos3188

Son, I would like you to plz stick to the topic of aviation and leave Indian Oil to its fate.

Thank You.

koolchaos3188 19th Jan 2011 09:04

@flybywire - Indian Oil is very much related to aviation industry sir.
We need fuel to fly and IOCL is market leader in India.

For Tinku ATR FO

1. You need an Indian CPL
2. You need to apply for Residence permit based on your wife's nationality (provided she has not already obtained a british passport).
Apply to HR of Kingfisher/Jet for ATR F/O
