i personally do not think that it is based on any sort of plan... its random i feel... but it looks like they are calling people according to their medical dates..
My friends have informed me that everyone who had their pre employment medicals before the 4th of of december 2013 have been called....

The 8 have their ground classes in june and they leave for their type in august... ( includes all the 32 that have been called till date)

I think the "financial ability to self sponsor tr" might be a reason they took a re-GD?

At this rate, it would take 2.5 years to recruit all from 2011 and 2013 batches.I dont understand why they are hurrying up the selection process but going excrutiatingly slow when it comes to training.

Hello everyone ... i am taking classes for airline entrance (jet, indigo ) written , Gd and Pi and IPT .. in NEW Delhi .if anyone is interested then you can contact me ..

Jet wanted to conclude Ethihad deal fast for that they created imaginary growth( as per company/sector ) for certain period which was dully obliged by ex-CA minister hence created a pool of pilots/talent at various level to back their claim of growth.Now that deal is done expect some more delays but Jet always honours recruitments.
Plus finding TR slot is getting difficult for Jet.

any idea when 2013 students would be called for Medicals and further process..........considering 2.5 yrs as said in previous posts would be terrible..but since would be no surprise as already 1 Yr is gone till now .....

There are rumours that the medicals would happen in August.

What is happening with 2011 batch guys, can any one confirm.

2011 guys please share some info about your status , it ill give us a better view of whats going on and how long the wait will be.

Has the first batch of student who went for type rating to UK has returned back ?

And what about the other batches ?

Just to shed some light..
100 plus candidates got selected from the 2011 batch and until now only 48 of them ( 2 batches of 24 each) have been contacted by jet for training and other schedules.. 32 of these 48 have been given their schedules ( ground classes+ type rating and other formalities) ... 10 out of the remaining 16 got a email from jet last week asking them to renew the said licenses keeping in mind the proposed dates of training..
Not to be negative and looking at the rate at which they are absorbing the 2011 batch its going to be a long wait...
But anything can and might happen...
THE WAIT TO GET IN 9W WILL BE WORTH IT...

It can be , it was within 3-4 days last time for us , its better to be prepared for everything.

NO.. You have to pay them 30 lakhs when they call you to sign the offer letter for training..

yes Suchita people are getting called for the re-interviews and the earliest date I know of an acquittance is 11th next month.

Confirmed... Interview starting from 2nd...

This is re-interview for the CPL or for type rated ?

theyre asking basics on approach charts along with technical stuff . it depends anyway because at times they might even ask u what your favourite topic is and starting quizing based on that .

Practice radial interception, entry into hold , missed app procedures etc on Ms simulator.
Learn as much as you can about app plates.

Practise:

1. Track In, Track Out
2. Radial Interception Inbound and Outbound
3. Hold entry
4. VOR Approaches only (No ILS)
5. MAP
6. Position reporting (They will ask for position reporting 4-5 times)
7. Approach Briefing (Practice very well)

Practice all approaches of following airports. Chances are that you will get one of them:

1. VABB
2. VAAH
3. VOMM
4. VECC
5. VIDP

My IPT with jet included the following things..
2 radials outbound interception..
1 radial inbound interception..
Position reporting ( observing the RMI)..
Practical approach briefing ( i read out the entire approach plate)
Published hold..
Full VOR approach into chennai..

Before the actual IPT starts in the briefing room you will be given time to get accustomed to the chart you will be using ( approx 10-15 mins)... some questions on hold entries and speeds may also be asked.. it all depends on the commander...

Hi Guys,

I got to know that the first batch of pilots have got their type rating done from UK and have come back a few days back. However their SUPs could not be started as Jet did not give them joining. So, their airport entry passes could not be made as one needs to be an employee of an airline to have AEP.

So now, jet has decided to give them joining before start of SUPs and also pay them stipend of Rs 50,000. If that is the case then it is a good news. But I am not sure how far that is true.

Jet all set to increase International Routes
 

Jet Airways Ltd (JET.NS) said the country's No. 2 airline by market share will look at selling planes and restructuring its debts as it tries to find ways to end the losses that have plagued it for years.

"We are looking at a lot of consolidation (of our fleet)," Jet's Chairman Naresh Goyal said at a press event in New Delhi on Wednesday. Goyal said the carrier is talking to its bankers, without giving details of the discussions.

Like all but one of India's major airlines, Jet, partly owned by Gulf carrier Etihad Airways, is losing money fast, beset by high costs, low fares and cut-throat competition in its domestic market.

While rising numbers of Indians have taken to air transport, domestic operators have struggled to translate that into profits. Indian airlines lost a combined $1.3 billion in the year to March, according to estimates from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation consultancy.

Jet, which has not reported an annual profit since 2007, set out a three-year restructuring plan in May centred on cutting costs and boosting efficiency. As the carrier struggles to turn around its fortunes, it also named Cramer Ball as its fourth chief executive within the space of a year, pending regulatory approvals.

Jet said on Wednesday its plans would return it to profitability in 2017 fiscal, without disclosing details of how the plans would be effective. The carrier said it would also expand its international operations, which are currently profitable, to 63 percent of its business by 2016 from 45 pct today.

Goyal was speaking at an event in New Delhi alongside James Hogan, chief executive of Abu Dhabi's Etihad, which became the first foreign airline to invest in an Indian carrier when it bought a 24 percent stake in Jet last year for around $330 million.

Despite Jet's losses, Etihad's Hogan said he is confident about the airline's future. "This is not an overnight turnaround," said Hogan.

"This doesn't happen overnight," Hogan said. "The investment is there, the game plan is in place. Now it is about delivering."

Jet said in May it had no plans for now to raise more equity and most of its future fund-raising would be in debt, despite the mounting losses.

when !!!! you cannot predict that till the day the actual emails are sent..
and its 8 per batch.. from where did you learn about 4???
