Just to clarify this is not an exam question. Just a question which Ive come across while studying
Q On a polar stereographic projection chart depicting the south pole a straight line joins psn A (70S 65E) to psn B (70S 25W) The true crs on departure from A is apprx A 315 B 225 C 250 D 135 Any help would be appreciated. cheers. |
@niksmathew24
the pdf file u loaded... possible for u to link me the entire notes.... im lookin for some formulas for time, GC tracks, etc... anything of that sort would be of help...goin through the ATPL manuals but need some formulae help.... thanks in advance |
they are gonna conduct exam every month for sure but as they reached the saturation level, they r planning to take very few from oct attempt. IndiGo has a very big order pending- out of the 100 a/cs ordered only 43 have been delivered till now and then there is the 180 a/c order(I do not know if they have finalized it, or it is still a MoU) Secondly it takes about 8-12 months for a cpl holder to go online- i think an airline like indigo, who had the paperwork ready a year before they were supposed to go international would not want to train their pilots after getting the deliveries. But that is my own perspective, i could also be wrong about it. I know everyone has their own opinion about things, and I respect yours. Good luck to everyone for the next attempt. |
Guys...Please share your inputs about today's exam...How was the paper, how many appeared and how many managed to clear today's exam?
@Manoj...how could you be so sure about the stats that you have presented about the Modus operandi of Indigo in coming time? Many a times it has happened that Indigo has dismantled all the speculations made by people like us by giving the results totally opposite to what we had thought about....:rolleyes: |
22nd Sep exam
20 out of 50 cleared today..including me....
paper was pretty easy..there were a lot of regs q's, cdmvt,departure,time,adf/vor,altimeter,dme numericals,climb descent human performance in depth as usual,lot of radio aids q's,met not much principles of flight in depth... cheers!! |
An Update
Just spoke to one of my friends who managed to pass today's exam :)
CAE informed him that from now on the CASS test and english test will be used as an elimination round . Apparently this has been in force since the July attempt and already two candidates have not managed to pass the CASS test . Previously there was no pass or fail during the CASS test and everyone would be forwarded for the interview . |
this question is for the people who have cleared the first round after CAE stopped charging for the aviation knowledge test- how many of you have made it till the final step ie. LOI ??
The reason i am asking this is because earlier the passing rate was not even 10% and suddenly it has shot up to 25-40%.....is it because of the demand or an alternate way to make money?? |
hi to all.....
it was my first time for Indigo and it could be cracked if worked along some strategy human performance ques.... alcohol, kyrie smthing cockpit ques, acute stress, met... lapse rate, hail, clouds nav- vhf range, dme range, frquencies of ssr, mode of ssr, etc but still i would say to my opinion dont just only concentrate on human performance, that is must but gen navigation, and radio aids and TIME MANAGEMENT i.e understanding, solving and putting right square on ans sheet is also very imp.......... will keep posting ques as i get back smthing from my short term memory... |
what is the answer of the 4th question i.e
A/c has to climb from 1500 to FL 75. QNH - 1023 hpa. Temp-ISA. a. 6000 b. 6600 c. 7000 d. 8500 |
Yes, I got the same question. Whats the answer ? Already Tried solving it but my answer matches none of the options given :(

@Transponder7777
@Transponder7777
In AviationTire.com ...... ATPL question bank right???? and in In JAAexam.com ...... ???? could youe please guide on the same? plz. Thank u :) |
ANY NEWS ON THE 28th and 29th JULY EXAMS ?
I THINK 14 CLEARED ON 28th AND 25 ON 29th JULY. ANY IDEA OUT OF THE TOTAL 39 HOW MANY DID THEY FINALLY SELECT ? HOW MANY GOT THE LOI ? |
@transponder good work but wd like to make things lil more clear
ques 1 option d) to reduce cockpit workload..... it was the answer as well. 2. a/c coming behind making in line with ahead goin A/C a degree will be considered as overtaking a. less than 50 deg b. less than 60 deg c. less than 70 deg d. less than 80 deg 3. ans is b/n True North(TN) and Magnetic North(MN) 4. b option was 6300 not 6600... and it looked right to me as from 1500 to 7500 diff is 6000 but it says FL 75 i.e altimeter set to 1013 and we can find the error comes out to b 300 feet |
relative bearing ques, ndb and vor, ht of a/c, find out dist so that a/c can reach a given FL with ROD and GS given etc
but it looked to me as they change the things everytime |
@tuxedo,
Yep..thts true.. The ATPL question bank given in the right.. and as for JAAexam.com. You will have to download each and every module from that site you wanna work on. It has seperate modules on Human performance, Radio Nav, Gen Nav, Met etc. SO download it and start studying. @think beyond Glass wal. Thanks for the rectification brother, Appreciated!! and yes u r rite on yr aspect of human performance vs. G NAv.. but I would still say to go through thoroughly with Human Performance because that can be a life saver in the exam.. Hello folks..
By any chance is anybody here remember the exact month from where indigo started this first 2 attempt free???? |
hello
Dear all,
There is no specific or special reason for more number of people to pass as quoted by many of the people here. Its just that previously 2 yrs back not many people were aware of aviationtire.com and Dauntless or Bristol aviation{All these are JAA/ATPL question bank companies from where indigo makes it papers)..Not just 80% of the paper infact 99% of the questions come from aviationtire.com only. Guys who would studied previously from these site would be able to shed some light on that. Now since last one year more and more people have got to know of these sites.Hence the pass %% has increased drastically. I agree that its very tough to study the 8000 odd questions in aviationtire,bt it is not an impossible task.Many of you would agree with me.!!!!! So study hard dont just Byheart or mug up things.If you study by making few logics in mind it would be easy to remember things.. |
