Dont go by just mere assumption that the airlines will expand and will require fresh pilots and will recruit , there are lot of other things. First you need a JACK to get into an airline , second you have to pay for your type rating , if your ready for all these things then make a plan to waste your parents hard earned money , some where around 45lacs as per todays condition.

i know i am getting a BBA degree too along with it. When i finish my CPL I would be in my 2 year. So i still have a back up. But i agree with what you say. It's a big risk. So is doing a degree along with it and getting a CPL wise enough ? Also i know that no1 knows what will happen tomorrow. Maybe it could get better. Or it could get even more worse. I'm not saying i'l clear the DGCA , jet , indigo exams. But if i don't do it. I can never see my dream come true. By doing it atleast i'm half way close to it. Please advice me what to do. I still have 8 months left for my training to begin.

Going by all the numerous threads & post that you have created all over the place i would give a suggestion - Go for flying if you have Stamina & Will to withstand rough weather of aviation career.
No one can predict future and here you are talking about Indian Aviation.Yes you can get a job right next day of receiving Licence or you can end up waiting for some 2-5 years for that elusive first Pilot Job.You can have all those push & pull that everybody without having them talks about but you can still remain Unemployed Pilot if there is no JOB in market( Back or Open Door ).
Getting a Degree will only help if you apply that education in that sphere( BBA in case of your's ).Being a pilot is easy but to get that first job is hard but there are many pilots who got in big shiny jet's because they were " At right place at right time ".
So do not time the future but plan & time what you want to do if you chose to become a pilot.Waiting always helps but being restless doesn't.So if you are so bent upon doing Pilot Training then do it.
Ohh i do remember that you got a Uncle or Relative Flying for Jet...so you don't need any further advice and he might even provide you some PUSH !
All the best and kindly refrain yourself from POSTING a query on different THREAD.Do make another Thread.

Of course you need a degree but that wont be an advantage when it comes to getting a job in an airline , I have done my traning from Indias reputed flying school but what the use????????????????? my friend did it from a normal flying school from US , then paid for his type rating and also for the JACK and he got a job with total expenditure of 38lacs..........If you still want to become a pilot , your are always welcomed , we will guide you through all possible always.

HI guys!
Can anyone suggest me a good ATPL coaching classes in Delhi. Good means at reasonable rate and a place where a class strength is of least 10-20 students.
Cheers

Bad news
The checks for the guys selected from the August 2010 recruitment have been delayed to November end from October. This might have an impact on when our interviews are held.

Sorry to bring the bad news again but jet has inducted lot of pilots from Air India and even Deccan 360 (yes they are training Airbus pilots on Boeing). Even I'm sick of waiting, now I'm trying for other airlines.

These are the facts. Most of the Air India pilots are commanders so they should not be interfering with our recruitment but the deccan 360 pilots surely will. I didnt get this from the management but this news is true.

I'd add Kingfisher to the list too.
As far as the T/P Rec. goes - Might be put on hold for a good period of time. How Long? Ask the guys who were part of the Sept'08 recruitment!.
But at least be thankful you do have a foot in through the door.

and i wonder if there is a chance that jet might not even call us for interviews now????
