Dragonair (KA) recruitment?

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys,
I being an INdian , can I apply for the KA cadet program ....... I ahve checked the website and it shows that i need to have an HKID and have also heard that I would need to know Chinese , is this correct? has anyone entered being an outsider without having the above mentioned? Awaiting your replies..... all the best to all of you appearing....

yes you are right, you do need a HKID for KA CPP application unfortunately, but knowledge of Chinese is not necessary. you may consider the CX's CPP instead, they are taking international cadets.

Hey JYLG, how was the aptitude test? Still no call for me, maybe they don't like female pilots (ok ok maybe i just suck)

Yvonne, I think I had an average performance in the AT. Like most people on here, I messed up bad juggling 3 tasks at the same time!!

I'm curious to know what people got for the last task (flying the aeroplane). I'm not sure how to get a higher score.

Just received call from KA to attend the AT. i did the IT on 24th Feb.

wow thats pretty late, so i guess you're a local applicant. I wonder what % of the 24th initial test were international applicants then

ya caffy, I was kind of disappointed when they showed the results in the end. I thought I did what I was asked to do but I guess not?!

How long should I wait to apply again if I fail the IT?

I couldn't pass the Initial Test either. This is what I got when I tried to access my online application file:

"We are unable to accept your application within a 12 month period of your previous application. If you wish to re-apply for the Cadet Pilot Programme, please do so at the appropriate time."

They only take one group each year anyway, so applying now or in ~12 months has no difference. Anyone got an interview yet?

Hey caffy, I haven't given up with KA, but in my case it isn't appropriate to pin too much hope on getting past something that I clearly haven't done well in. I am now concentrating on getting into the "other airline across the road". Hope you get called up for an interview, that's where all the fun starts.

Everyone else, keep waiting and don't wet your pants just yet. I doubt they will keep their 3-4 week promise with everyone, so for the time being, no news is good news!

caffy, nothing yet. They had another batch of applicants doing the IT today, hopefully this will be the last batch so that they'll move onto further stages along the selection process. Don't stress yourself yet, it's only been 3 days for you. Relax and prep for interviews!
