Just gave them a call, and they said all short listed candidates have been notified, in other words I didn't make it. I'm not sure if they send out rejection emails.

I didn't make it either. Do you think we can call and ask what went wrong?

No harm giving it a try to see what feedback you could obtain from them.

Anyone know if there will be another round of OAA day 1 assessment?

Would anyone be able to clarify whether a Pre Qualified candidate who had previously lived in Hong Kong be able to obtain a Identification card, I have seen it is now available to those who don't have one, but I am deciding whether I may be eligible for one as I had lived in HK for 7 years from 93 to 2000. Any advice on where to look for that information would be appreciated.

OAA Stage 1

Did anyone get any feedback? Not sure how many guys went through on Monday, but there was a lot of us. Good luck to the guys in the final run.

As for the Oxford maths and phys, prior to my test I worked really hard to get those two subjects up to scratch as no one posted the info about those test anywhere on the web, bar a few hints here and there, so why would I care to share details about it now?

Anyways, I heard CX are looking for pilots...

Krislamb

You sure you are in the MPL route? The recruitment process for MPL is completed and class is commencing in a month's time.

I'm just curious,

Why Dragonair & not Cathay ?

This might even be a HR question.

MPL VS CPL

A couple of question:

1)I know the interviewers shd be loooking for the same qualities in these 2 programs, but for the assessment-OAA vs AP. do u think OAA is easier?(actually I failed AP....)
2) as I failed AP once, I actually try to stay away from it. I want MPL, but I know that they will choose it for me. But is it true that in certain period they will select candidate for MPL, and if I apply at that period, I could get in the MPL pool and escape from CPL?
3) OAA assessment requires physics, mechanics ,etc. ( not just aviation) do u think one could stand out if he is hard working and scientific minded?
4) there shd be not different in career progression if I join MPL right?

You will have to upgrade your MPL to a full ATPL after you get enough hours... so i guess you can say you need more studying... LOL

U do ATPL theory exams straight away, so as long as u hav enough hours it's converted to ATPL, no more studying mate

Hi Krislamb,

Actually you have no choice on MPL or CPL as both pages will lead to the same application pool. KA will allocate you to the respective program that they are dealing with at that moment.

I believe you are in the DA 16 pool rather than MPL. I got a frd receiving call from KA few days ago for DA 16's aptitude test scheduled in early July (if memory serves me right he had the initial test in April).
