Just got the IT done this morning. As usual, unable to get the math test completed.

Anyway, good luck to everyone waiting for the HR Interview call!

It says at least 3000hrs but may be reduced for 320/330 rated individuals.

I'm 330 ontype with 1500hrs only,is it that possible to apply for the FO position?

I appreciate

From the KA careers webpage
  • Hold a current ICAO ATPL
  • Hold a valid 1st class medical certificate without restriction
  • Have at least 3000 hours total, including either 500 jet hours or 1000 multi engine turbo prop hours in command of a multi crew operation;
  • The total hours requirement maybe reduced for A320/A330 rated individuals, with time on type.
I think: try it!

Hi a small question: second officer with dragonair, is this considered as a cruise relief pilot or is it like qatar airways where you act as first officer?

MPL or CPP

Hi there

I got my online application of KA updated since I got the account there, however haven't submitted yet
My concern is would it be slightly better if I am in the DA16 pool rather than the MPL2?
Or it doesn't really matter and I should go and hit it now?

I still have a month to go before graduated, now the pressure is coming

Hi Guys.. 330 FO @ KA here.

If you've got time on type, thats great, but they really don't care as they have to do a course on you for CAD in HK anyway.

For others applying.. we seem to be really short.

That said, the package, as good as it seems from wherever you are, is not enough for a family. If you're in your early twenties and single, you can make it work long enough to leave to somewhere better. If you're older with expenses, it simply won't work.

Good luck.. (and don't PM me).

PQC Program Open to non-Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card Holders

Just noticed last week that their PQC is now open to non-Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card Holders. Did they just change the ID requirement recently?

Do you know since when they started accepting foreign applicants for the PQC? I understand that the priority will be given to the locals since pilots with 250hrs+ can be found relatively easily within local applicants.

Correct. They changed this (International PQC) from April 2012.

First, people who did their ITs in the last week of March only began receiving calls for next round today.

Second, there won't be an AT for this round of selection;but Skills Assessment (one part of it is similar to AT) if you pass your Initial Interview and ICAO assessment.
