greetings

Hi guys, I've discovered this forum as I was preparing for the KA CPP initial test. However, I still have no idea of how to prepare for the numeric test and I hope you guys could give me some advice. First of all, I'll start with my background:
Age: 21
Educational level: bachelor of business (International Tourism and Hotel Management)
Flight hours: none
Work experience related to aviation: Aircraft Maintenance Craftsman Trainee (4 months)

I got some knowledge on how plane works from my current job, but still, I have no experience on flying a plane. And the most important thing is that my maths are very poor therefore I am lack of confidence on the numeric test in the initial test. I am just wondering what kind of questions will appear on the test paper, would it be simple adding and subtracting (very unlikely) and dose it involves multiplying or dividing, will there be fraction in the question. All of these questions keep popping up in my head.

I wonder how you guys prepare for the numeric test, I would thank you so much if you could provide some method on how to prepare for the test and the style of question that will be tested during the test.

Last, I would like to apologize to you guys for my poor English.
Thanks

In the initial test there will be scenerio type of questions, it will mainly be based on + or - type, some x or /, they do not involve complex/advanced calculations. However they are going to be long and time consuming, so it is a question that how will you deal with it in limited time.

Hi there! First time to leave a message here.
I've finished my IT on 14th and got called the very next day in the morning for the AT on next Tue (20/12).
I thought the AT is kind of easy before as a friend of mine (who is now a KA cadet) told me that it's nothing more than games!
Not after I ate up this whole thread I started to get nervous about it

But to be honest, I worried about my English proficiency more than everything...

Good luck guys!

Yau

Thanks for the tip, I feel much better after knowing that there won't be any complicated maths in the test.

And, do u reckon that not having a proper flight training or courses would be a disadvantage for me, I only obtain my knowledge from my current job.

No, there are plenty of people who are with no flying hours being selected as a cadet

Any information on FI? What's to be expected of the candidates? What type of questions will they be asking?

Yau

Is general company background also included in the FI? Do they ask a lot of behavioral questions? I'm just trying to understand the scope of what is expected so I can better prepare myself. Thanks for the info!

Yes, company background, fleets, FTA, about SO duties, licenses that you will need to get, training programmes etc..Behavioral questions will be something like how you get on with your friends/family, how would you react if this and that happened etc.

Flying the Aeroplane

Hi Yau, I remember you said that when people doing the flying the aircraft thru the square test, they tend to try too hard in controlling the aircraft, and ending up over controlling it. May I ask if the control is very sensitive, only little adjustment is required, or the control is not sensitive and requires big adjustment? Thanks!
