I did my initial Stage 1 interview on september the 26th 2012, I passed that interview, than I received an email from them they are postponing my application, and they´ve told me I could expect to be invited for the final assessments in Hong Kong around Octobre-December 2013. This is due the delivery of the A350. Anyone else who is in the same situation?

Physics for the Compass test

Hi,

I am having my initial A this coming July. Got a question for you all about the aptitude test. I know they expect us to know high school level physics but more specifically what are the topics they will focus on? I remember there was a wide range of physics topics back in high school and it has been four years and my uni degree is Economics...

Thanks!

physics test...it can be anything really...they must have a database of questions...there's no real short cut in revising this section.

Stage 1A

Congratulations Simona on your advancing to Stage 1B! Just a simple question if you could kindly shed some light on, from what I understand there'll be a Maths test as a component of the COMPASS test, are pencil and paper provided?

Have read through the posts in this thread, i know it's a computer-based test and calculators aren't allowed, but there's no mentioning of pencil and paper...a simple answer will be much appreciated. Thanks loads!

Common sense would dictate that pen/pencil and paper would be provided for a Maths test... much like how toilet paper is always provided in washrooms.. maybe except in China, Cuba, Thailand, Venezuela, India.. okay maybe you should call the good folks at flight recruitment and inquire about the pen/pencil and paper, while you're at it ask about their washrooms...

Your illiterate conversations are nothing but a slur to professionalism & what it used to mean to be an Airman. Cheap is what cheap gets.

Question about applying a job in Cathay Pacific???

Hi, everyone...

I need someone kindly to provide me a direction which way should I go...

Right now, I'm holding a FAA Part-141 CPL airplane Multi-Engine land with Instrument rating, <292 total hours, 65.1 Multi Engine>
and I have complete the (cadet pilot programme) application form, and upload my CV on the homepage.

My question is

1:How long should I wait to get the reply from Cathay Pacific??

2:In each year, what is the date and month will Cathay Pacific start the recruitment??
(Or where can I get the information about the recruitment)

3: It is any department in Hong Kong or Taiwan I can go to book an appointment and have a interview or give them my CV??

I know it is difficult to get a job in Cathay Pacific, but I perfer to make action rather to wait.

So please to everyone, if you know the answer please provide it to me.

Thankyou so much!!!

Hi Billy,

The following steps should help you.

Step 1) Are you a HKID card holder? If yes proceed to step 2, if no then proceed to step 4.

Step 2) After submitting your application, be patient, wait, they will call you eventually if you are selected. Interviews are done on a regular basis.

Step 3) If selected they will call you then send you an e-mail to confirm what is to be expected on the interview date and what you should bring.

Step 4) You are not a HKID card holder or have failed their screening process and will not hear from them any time soon.

Best of luck.

yes I hold a HKID...

Another question I like to ask is,

Did Cathay Pacific care about <1 Star or 3 Star> on the ID???
or doesn't matter???
