Hi guys, I just recieved an email shortlisting me for an interview. I submitted my application pretty early, on 31 July, so I might be part of the first tranche of interviewees. Hope this info helps for those still waiting, very best of luck!

Hi @durrrr and @kuboring. congrats for being selected for 1st round of interview.
@durrrr may i know when did you submit your application?
regarding the tips u should be prepared very well about whatever you have mentioned in your resume. and also be prepared to answer any question about SIA or its subsidiaries and current affairs. especially questions like why you wanna be a pilot and they may ask you to prove ur passion for flying. you need to justify and convince them how badly you wanna be a SIA pilot.

Congrats to those who got shortlisted for the 1st interview! I heard from a captain at the aviation open house saying there are about 2000 applicants to date..
Training is expected to start at the end of this year. I'm not sure of my chances because I'm still studying and will only graduate in May 2016..

"Original report by a qualified doctor (an optician report will not be accepted) for visual acuity eye-test with and without optical aids (Snellen's Chart) and colour vision test (Ishihara). The cost of the eye-test and colour vision test will be on your own account."

@passionate aviator
From what I read in this thread, there is an eye clinic beside the interview rooms right? Can I do the tests on the day of the interview because I would think it is more convenient and probably cheaper?

i dont think its a good idea. what if there are 100s like you who wanna do their tests there and there is a long queue. just get it done out here and have all the required documents in hand when u go to the venue. just before the interview you should be sitting relaxed and waiting for your turn rather than rushing to get your eye tests done.
