Hi Furthermathematics, was your post (#1109) in response to mine?

Wasn't too sure as I dont know what does CA mean. Yes I can keep applying again online, but the status will always be rejected after sometime as my profile did indicate me going through the last round. Was wondering should I start a new profile, but decided otherwise.

Accuwipe: Hope you will get the email titled "Cadet Pilot Aptitude Test/Final interview" from Mr Tan soon
Fyi, I went to the first interview in mid-aug'07 and got the email 13 days later. So no need to fret too much k? Cheers

Singapore001, I kinda thought of that also, but CA wasnt commonly used as an acronym for cabin crew in SIA (collective agreement comes to mind instead). Anyway I wish you all the best too!

Hi Guys,

Just wondering as to whether there's any of those cadet pilots here that has just attended the SQ Induction programme on 8th and 9th Sept and are going for the 777 conversion course?

Warmest Regards,
Vibes

To those cadets that made it through the interview process and have entered the SIA cadet programm, do u have any aviation background maybe a PPL, CPL or something to back up and and gain u an advantage? Care to share?
Where does SIA train its cadet pilots overseas too? Jankdot?

those who hold recognized licenses get hours exempted from their training. Other than that, since its an ab-initio program, having no experience does not put one at a disadvantage.

Yes, they train in Jandakot (WA) and Maroochydore (Queensland)

Post -medical

Hi friends,

Just wondering if any of you here can advise how long after the medical would SIA contact you to sign the contract? It has been almost 3 weeks since my medical at ST aeromedical and still no news from them. Is it normally like that?

Will appreciate any advise I can get. Thanks

You could try calling the Dragon Lady to ask about your application. But remember, be nice. But then, the Dragon Lady will put you in your place and remind you of your position in the company... an amoeba, to be generous...

I waited 7 weeks from my meds before I got the call, if that's any consolation. be patient.

and as always, call at your own risk. no harm (as in i do not think they will chuck away your application just like that), but you'd be put down, hard and fast.

Since you are a ground engineer, I suspect they will ask you very technical issues. This will be on top of the other usual questions that they will normally ask candidates. Of course, they won't ask you "So, how does a plane fly?" or "So, how does an engine work?"

Good luck!
