Just seen that Eastern Airways won the Gold...

Just seen that Eastern Airways won the Gold Regional Airline of the Year award from the European Regional Airline Association!

Quite an achievement (first UK airline ever to win this?)

Eastern have only one J31 left (the executive...

Eastern have only one J31 left (the executive configured one), rest are Super 31s (J32s) which have better payload range capabilities so I imagine these will be around for a while yet....

Presume Euromanx cant get LCY approved RJ ops in place by that date given that they don't seem to have an AOC of there own and Denim don't have the RJ on their AOC...

BA's website shows the same comment re handbaggage allowance regardless of fare level.

Elsewhere on the site it clearly states that UK domestic checked baggage allowance is one item max 32kg.

Eastern wins an award

Noticed this morning that Eastern have won European Regional Airline award for the second year running.

They got Silver, Air Arran got bronze and the gold went to some greek outfit called Agean
